Yeah!! WATTSTAX was amazing. AB, have you checked out the documentary "Soul Power" about the three day concert in Kinshasa,Zaire before the Ali-Foreman fight? The fight was delayed because Foreman (I think) got cut in training, but the gig went on. James Brown, Bill Withers, Cecila Cruz, B.B. King + the local kings Franco & OK Jazz with Tabu Ley on vocals. You got to see this!

Supposedly, back in the early 60s when the Staples were playing the clubs in the village, a young Bob Dylan was infatuated with Mavis and used to ask Pops if he could marry her.
