Cheers on topic and the title, Alex! Quick story. On my honeymoon my wife and I were sitting on our hotel deck in Aruba about 5 stories up drunkedly singing songs. It was well past 2 am and I was giving a rousing rendition Tangled up in Blue. The golf cart resort police guy zoomed by, shined his flashlight up at us and we knew the party was over. lol...... Slept well that night. Praise be to Bobby D!
I could talk about this album all day, but in short, isn't that a great album title? It evokes trains, looking back, and the idea of Bob spilling his own blood to create those songs. I love it.
I remember the first time I saw Bob play (MSG, late 1970's), he was taking so much "artistic liberty" with his songs that I didn't realize he was singing Tangled up in Blue until the last line of the song. Typical. Great album!
Amelia's latest favorite song is "Shelter from the Storm" (which popped up on random one day when we were in the car). She regularly asks for it by name. She's 2 1/2.

But I'm a proud, competitive papa, Jazz Princess is 1 1/2 and already points to my iPhone so I will turn on Grant Green's "The Final Comedown" so she can dance. :)
[0] In minority perhaps but much prefer "Desire" from mid-70s Dylan period.
[5] Desire is a great, great album. I even like "Joey" which most folks tend to rip to shreds. I don't really prefer one to the other, they're very different albums. (Hell, I think Planet Waves is seriously underrated.)
[7] Well, that's the thing - with great art, be it a painting, film, novel, album - it just keeps giving. You keep finding new ways to see it/hear it and appreciate it. Something new leaps to the fore with each listen.
