Wow! Our own Alex Belth gets bumped by Bob Ojeda?

You could have pitched better for the Yankees than he did, AB!

I mean Ted could have asked Mo about the cutter!

heh heh

What happened to our friend Will Weiss? I really wish he stop by so the Yankees can start winning again.

No Will Weiss at Banter is unacceptable...

: )

Will's been swamped with life but he'll be back shortly, perhaps as early as tomorrow.

No Damon in the lineup:

Jeter SS
Swisher RF
Teixeira 1B
Rodriguez 3B
Cano 2B
Posada C
Cabrera LF
Gardner CF
Wang RHP

[1] i like will weiss, seems like a great guy, but i generally don't enjoy his columns here. he's the only one i can do without. i don't mean that in a mean way, it's just usually not my cup of tea.

he is a fellow drummer though, and i love that! : )

besides cliff & alex, i thoroughly enjoy emma and always feel like i learn more about baseball when i read bruce. i understand will gives a different angle, i'm just usually not down with his slant.

all that said... i miss todd drew.

a lot.

Thanks for replying, Alex!

Being swamped with life is unacceptable!

However, I suppose that beats being swamped with death...

: )

[5] LOL Thelarmis!

I like all of the writers here, Alex! I just thought I'd let you know!

heh heh

[6] i'm a chump.

[7] You are entitled to your opinions here, Thelarmis. That's one of the great many wonderful things about Banter...

Kibitzing about the Yankees is obviously the best thing for me. Being privy to things almost before they happen is another.

And any blog that allows one to quote George Carlin or shows his bits via YouTube, is alright by me!

I want to be a part of all of that!

: )

[8] yes, and like my mentor at penn state, i am VERY opinionated! : )

but, i'm also very NON-confrontational and don't like to say anything bad about anybody. that's why i very much hope that it came across that i think will is great, all-around, just not my cup of tea for reading his posts. i'm not big on media stuff either, so it's just not my field.

but, YES, i adore this blog, thrilled to read it every single day and am honored to be a tiny part of it. i've been following Alex since his days at All-Baseball.com... : )

updates per pete abe:

UPDATE, 4:19 p.m.: Damon still has pain in his calf. He’s available off the bench. Day to day.

UPDATE, 4:28 p.m.: CC Sabathia just received treatment and feels good. They delayed his bullpen until tomorrow. He still plans to start Friday.

UPDATE, 4:49 p.m.: As expected, MLB denied Joe Girardi’s protest of Sunday’s game. No reason was given.

i'll miss pretty much the entire game tonight, due to teaching, but it's pretty cool that the Yanks are about 4 miles from my pad!!! : )

[9] Agreed! When I wake up each morning, my coffee tastes better with Bronx Banter!

: )

[12] Bronx Banter: like a nice Danish, but with half the Calories!

14 thelarmis   ~  Jun 23, 2009 5:27 pm

[12] [13] if you guys were on the somewhat recent late night thread of my "food oddities", you won't be shocked to learn that i've NEVER had either coffee or a danish!!! : )

disclaimer: i never said i wasn't weird!

Its that "new daddy" thing .... (and if you've seen recent photos of his daughter, you'd understand why he hasn't been around much .... she is ADORABLE)

[16]

I thought JFK was an Oliver Stone fantasy.
