Day-to-Day

So I hear Nick Johnson dinged hisself up today. No surprise there, I’m sorry to say.

Think the Yanks can get 450 at bats from him this year?

i have a feeling we're gonna be seeing posts like this here quite often. then again, he might just suffer a major injury once and be out for the season. still, i vote for a series of minor ones that forbid him from reaching 400 AB's...

i forgot that today's game was on espn. i coulda watched it. ah, at least it doesn't count...

he'll get 400 at-bats if he's allowed to play on crutches.

[5] i presume, he'll be sitting in a wheel chair in the batters box and using the crutches as a bat.

[6] precisely... and despite those limitations he'll still be slightly faster than Matsui on the basepaths.

[7] or, in other words, A LOT faster than Posada!

This isn't funny.

He fouled a ball off his body and was pulled from a meaningless spring game and will start on Sunday. Nothing to get worked up about. And yes, my prediction is that he gives 400+ ABs something that he has managed in 6 out of 9 full seasons in the bigs).
