"A New York Treasure" --Village Voice

Hey Ma!

In the spirit of spring and Mother’s Day–which is just around the corner–the wife is having a sale (15% off ) on herĀ photography note cards now through 5/9/10.

She’s added a number of new sets including orchids and cherry blossoms.

Ah, spring loveliness. Dig it.

It is annoying and dumb for baseball discussions to devolve into a statistics recitation. It is good to see baseball statistics finally taking into account the concept of deviation from the mean. I wish we would see more of that. But it is most important that baseball statistics, or those who relentlessly tout them as the definitive piece of evidence in a discussion, start to understand the concept of what is and is not a statistically significant difference. You hear people mention small sample size, but never what implication that holds for determining whether a difference is significant. When are we going to start seeing Z tests in OPS comparisons?
