Taster’s Cherce

The Silver Moon Bakery on 105th street and Broadway is: expensive, friendly, just a little bit pretentious, but most certainly delicious. I had an apricot brioche the other day. Cost me three bucks and it was so worth it. Worth waiting on line for and worth going back for that alone.

Ya heard?

ha, word alex - that describes silver moon exactly.
throw in that you usually have some old bat who takes 10 minutes to decide what they want.
i usually get one of the chocolate pastries or chocolate croissant.
i'll have to give the brioche a shot.

Sounds a lot like Portland.

I like that place. It's the anti-Starbucks. I looked at an apt. on that block and decided that if I only take that apt. to be near the Silver Moon, my prioritites were misplaced.

Great Brioches!

[4] haha, i looked at a place on 104th and was tempted to go after it largely because of silver moon - but the place was too expensive and smelled like cats, so i ended up a bit further uptown.
