Taster's Cherce

I like hot chocolate as much as the next person but don’t ever go out of my way for it. Yesterday, a friend brought me to a snooty chocolatier called Jacques Torres and got me a hot coco.

I had no idea hot chocolate could be so good. It was like drinking from Willy Wonka’s chocolate river, off-the-chain sinful, and a treat that is worth the trip.

Dude, I am still thinking about it. I got one with black pepper, and I thought it would have chunks of black pepper in it but it didn't, just had a subtle peppery after taste. But it was like a meal. Holy my God it was good.

I asked my friend if he thought this was the best in NYC. And he said it's on par with the best and then it just becomes a matter of preference.

cool. you can tell the quality of chocolate is really good and then the other ingredients they add really compliment it well.

i'm the same as far as digging hot chocolate but not going out of my way for it. but i'm a total peasant - i'm cool with hot water, powder chocolate packet and no whipped cream. boring, but good enough for me! : )

I don't find it nearly as snooty, probably because the guy started out in New Hampshire after the European training.

[8] Don't look at the prices. The chocolate covered caramels are the best if they have the singles available again. Spring for a box if you can. It will make the next two days of your life, if they last that long.

The hot chocolate is available in like four different types of chocolate and with steamed milk.

[8] That said, if you think of it as a lunch, you can get a cup and and a cake for $10. The calories will certainly be lunch worthy!

[10] [11] thanks. i love chocolate so i happily ignore price and calorie factors with chocolate:} just make up for it somewhere else.

My niece is the Hot Chocolate HNIC in my family, so I'll have to wait for her seal of approval (WordPress sucks)
