If you haven't yet, if you ever get a chance to read Hill & Weingrad's "Saturday Night: A Backstage History of Saturday Night Live," certainly do. (You'll read it in a day).

It covers up to 1986, and features many great anecdotes about O'Donoghue, as well as terrific chapters on how SNL came into being in the first place. Makes you want to start your own comedy troupe.
