Another year, another Subway Serious.

Yawn.

That said, here’s hoping the Yanks win the series.

Cliff has the preview, and we’ll be rootin’:

Yeah, the novelty has worn out for me. Though I'll still watch. May start with the Cubs - Red Sox, just for the history.

Am I the only one putting on SNY instead of YES?

Go Go Yankees!! (I can't summon any hatred for the Mets..they're just too...sad...)

3 rbj   ~  May 20, 2011 7:17 pm

I'm sticking with YES.

4 rbj   ~  May 20, 2011 7:19 pm

Meh.

[3] I don't hate YES (Kay is annoying but not the worst pbp guy out there) but I think Darling and Hernandez are really good. Hard to believe the Mets may trade Reyes though, I'd love him on the Yanks next year.

Sterling/Waldman on the ol iPhone via mlb app. (I'm at work)

I was tempted to go with Howie Rose, but for as much as I mock them, I actually miss the quirkiness of those two when I'm listening to someone else..

[9] [10] make up your mind! ; )

13 rbj   ~  May 20, 2011 8:02 pm

[12] Heh.

14 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  May 20, 2011 8:27 pm

Gardner..terrible base runner. How is still on 2nd there?

15 NYYfan22   ~  May 20, 2011 8:27 pm

IF single. A Cap'n Special.

16 NYYfan22   ~  May 20, 2011 8:28 pm

[14] WHAT? he didn't go to third??

17 rbj   ~  May 20, 2011 8:32 pm

Sigh. Typical first two get on, then three straight outs.

18 NYYfan22   ~  May 20, 2011 8:33 pm

dammit. what's the team LOB up to now?

19 randym77   ~  May 20, 2011 8:36 pm

20 randym77   ~  May 20, 2011 8:46 pm

Oh, Swish.

21 rbj   ~  May 20, 2011 8:48 pm

Phew, but the way the team is hitting with RISP is not inspiring.

22 NYYfan22   ~  May 20, 2011 9:02 pm

this is retarded. How many 0-fors with RISP can a team this good go for?

23 Boatzilla   ~  May 20, 2011 9:30 pm

[5] Conehead's in the booth for YES. He's fantastic.

24 Boatzilla   ~  May 20, 2011 9:31 pm

[21] They've left a small village on base.

25 OldYanksFan   ~  May 20, 2011 9:43 pm

The teams RISP numbers are distored in that when we have those 10 run games, we probably hit .500 with RISP, when we're way ahead. When we are tied or behind, I'll bet our RISP numbers are well under .200.

26 NYYfan22   ~  May 20, 2011 9:45 pm

[25] so they're worse when it matters more--in the clutch.

27 Boatzilla   ~  May 20, 2011 9:48 pm

Where's everyone today, at the game?

28 Boatzilla   ~  May 20, 2011 9:50 pm

At least they don't have to get anyone in scoring position to tie this game.

29 randym77   ~  May 20, 2011 9:51 pm

[27] Friday night. Some people have lives.

Not me, obviously... :-)

30 Boatzilla   ~  May 20, 2011 9:57 pm

[29] Must have been a disappointing date for you. It's 11 AM here, so my day can only get better.

'Night all.

31 Mattpat11   ~  May 20, 2011 10:01 pm

At the Stadium now. The Mets took the lead and the Yankees never had a representative AB again. 11 fucking Ks. Just a total disgrace of an "effort." Disgusted
