New York Minute

When I think back on being a little kid, I think of West End Avenue and 103rd street and I see sneakers hanging from a telephone wire.

Lots of hanging sneakers from telephone wire when I was growing up in the Bronx in the 60's. Funny, I never thought to try to get a pair up there myself. Maybe because my mom would've killed me if she found out.

Yeah, I never tried either. I saw this pair on my way to work this morning.

can't be easy to get them up there. i've never even seen people try. but i always saw them in new york, growing up.
