Can we have a reasonably paced game tonight, not a 4 hour affair?

2 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 7:16 pm

[1] Not at this rate. Bleh!

3 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 7:18 pm

Huzzah, Lil G! Good thing he didn't break his anke on the first line drive. Yikes.

Gritner!

damn!

6 ms october   ~  Sep 2, 2011 7:21 pm

What is your new puppy's name just fair? Sounds like a handful :)

7 ms october   ~  Sep 2, 2011 7:23 pm

O'neill just mentioned something I have wondered about in some of our recent conversations about uzr - how does the glove hand impact your uzr? I don't think there is anyway a right-handed fielder gets to that ball gardner got.

[6] He IS good and terrible. The shelter named him Yeller. He didn't know it anyway so we just decided to stick with it. I read Ol Yeller to my class every year so take that for what it's worth. Fortunately for him there's not much hydrophobia in the area and I don't own a gun. Thanks for asking. : )

[8] haha - that's cool. glad he is settling in with you guys.

10 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 2, 2011 7:51 pm

8) If you send a picture I'll post it. Go Yeller!

11 Marek   ~  Sep 2, 2011 8:01 pm

Wow, the Rangers are crusing the Red Sox 6-0 after one and a half.

12 Marek   ~  Sep 2, 2011 8:01 pm

[11] er, crushing

13 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 8:03 pm

[10] You're a trip, AB. I don't have a good one yet, but I'll work on it. Snapped one of him standing on the kitchen table the 2 days ago but his face was looking the other way. lol...
Hot damn. Hang a week of laundry on that sucker!

14 rbj   ~  Sep 2, 2011 8:03 pm

Gritner is doing it all tonight.

15 rbj   ~  Sep 2, 2011 8:05 pm

Wow, an actual reversal?

16 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 8:06 pm

Settle down, dickhead. Make a good throw next time.

17 rbj   ~  Sep 2, 2011 8:21 pm

Nova's settling down.

18 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 2, 2011 8:23 pm

13) Heck Yah. The Banter needs mascots. Wait for a good shot and then send it over.

19 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 8:34 pm

Works both ways, blue. Oy!

20 rbj   ~  Sep 2, 2011 8:49 pm

[18] Just gotta be better than that Yankees mascot. Man the 1980s were not good to the organization.
Robbie!

21 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 8:49 pm

Morrow deserves a hefty fine for making Robinson look so silly tonight. Alas, he comes through anyway. Yes!

22 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Sep 2, 2011 8:50 pm

Robinson Cano is a *great* hitter.

Look up "great fucking hitter" in the dictionary and you'll see this man's picture.

Sweet Jesus.

23 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 8:58 pm

Jones turning back time.

24 Marek   ~  Sep 2, 2011 8:58 pm

10-0 Texas.

0-10 Tex?

25 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Sep 2, 2011 8:58 pm

Elvis just left the building in Boston, 10-0 Rangers.
How the Bombers looking?

26 Marek   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:01 pm

Whatever happens next, I support that walk.

27 rbj   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:02 pm

[25] Tight, 3-2 game Yankees up, but 2 on, 2 out for the Jays.

28 rbj   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:03 pm

Curtis - fuck UZR.

29 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:11 pm

Morrow was pretty nasty tonight. Damn good thing Brett ran into one.

30 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:15 pm

Nova's dropping hooks like a drunk fisherman.

31 rbj   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:25 pm

[30] Classic line. Let's use it many more times.
Why not Nova for the eighth?

32 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:26 pm

Let's Go Grandy.

33 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:26 pm

Do you walk Cano now with runners on second and third?

34 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:26 pm

Whatchyou looking at, Curtis?

35 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:27 pm

I guess so.

36 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:29 pm

C'mon, Swish. After last night you're due for some goodness.

37 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:31 pm

No place to put him...

38 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:31 pm

Start the merry go round.

39 rbj   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:32 pm

Crud.

40 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:32 pm

Shite...at least the Sox are losing, 10-0.

41 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:34 pm

I don't really liked taking Nova out.

42 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:36 pm

Nice job by Sori, down 2-0 to strike out the lead off hitter.

43 The Hawk   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:39 pm

I just want to say again that I got in on the ground floor with Nova. The ground floor!!

44 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:40 pm

Yikes. I was afraid they didn't get any outs.

45 rbj   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:41 pm

And I don't like teix not at first there.

46 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:41 pm

Nuney!

47 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:42 pm

Happy Friday Night!

What a play by Cano! On those low balls, nobody can do what he does.

And Tex is missed.

48 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:43 pm

oops. Embarrassed!
Just Got in and did not realize that Nunez was on second. Blush.

49 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:45 pm

And I guess sometimes, someone can do what Cano deos.

50 rbj   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:51 pm

Is Mo time?

51 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:54 pm

How'd that feel, Big Ears?

52 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:55 pm

Sit down sucker!

53 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:58 pm

Alone in first place!

54 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:58 pm

Alone in first place!

55 Just Fair   ~  Sep 2, 2011 9:59 pm

Phew.
All Rise.
Quiet night at the BB.

56 rbj   ~  Sep 2, 2011 10:00 pm

Oh yeah! 15 wins for Nova.
Chance at 18.

57 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 2, 2011 10:06 pm

Yankees for the first time this year are 30 wins over .500

Nova is a cool operator out there, and nice to see Gardner just about single-handedly get this game won in context of Nova's performance.

Feeling much less nervous now about the post season. However, that changes day to day.

58 jjmerlock   ~  Sep 2, 2011 10:07 pm

As a Nunez fan, let me reiterate what a sick play that was. That was tremendous. Kid's got a lot of talent.

59 jjmerlock   ~  Sep 2, 2011 10:09 pm

Oh, and may I mention just *how* much better Mo looked tonight?

He missed with the last pitch to Bautista, but generally, his command was completely different than it was last night.

60 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 2, 2011 10:19 pm

Mo needs 6 saves to have the career saves record. With 26 games left, ya think he'll get the chance to do it?

Almost don't want him to do it this season, so he has another reason to come back next year.

61 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Sep 2, 2011 10:28 pm

Nova being interviewed by Kim. For a guy who does not a lot of English, he makes good points and knows how to be succinct. I bet in Spanish, this guy is muy sophisticato.

62 Jon DeRosa   ~  Sep 2, 2011 10:43 pm

[52] Nice! I had the SAME thought (see the recap)
