Chilly here. Upper 50s. Summer's over.

2 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:24 pm

nice. this quickly went from a possible 10 pitch inning for matusz and is ballooning nicely. Let's Go Yan-Kees!!

3 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:25 pm

nice job by jones!

4 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:37 pm

ugh. freddy, what's going on with ya?

5 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:38 pm

Lame. Hit after hit and now a passeb ball. Blah.

6 rbj   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:39 pm

Ugh, looks to be one of those games.

7 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:41 pm

Bad throw, Teix. Fuck.

8 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:43 pm

well, this fuggin' sucks.

9 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:43 pm

[6] Yeah, no doubt.

OH BOY, it's EDSP warming.

If that's not waving the white flag, I don't know what is ...

10 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:44 pm

Fat Freddy's got FUCK ALL today.

Blech.

11 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:47 pm

[9] Look, I'm happy for EDSP and the fact that he was still pitching in the majors this year, but there's absolutely NO reason for him to be on this team right now.

There are guys in the minors who absolutely DESERVE a chance to show something this month (Kontos, Wheeler), signing and pitching a fucking nothing like EDSP is just a disturbing reminder of how uncommitted this team is to giving the majority of its minor leaguers a legitimate chance ...

12 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:48 pm

edsp? really?! fuck.

this game is totally in reach.

[9] that really would be waving the white flage...and that pisses me off.

13 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:48 pm

[11] this.

14 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:50 pm

Nicely done, Jesus, nicely done.

15 rbj   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:50 pm

The good thing is the Baltimore pitcher is crappy too, so Yankees have a shot.

16 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:51 pm

Who's going to suck less today. Yeesh.
Good eye, kid.

17 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:51 pm

let's get a coupla back here.

i can see the Chief settling in and giving us 5 innings...

18 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:52 pm

[16] how was the party?!

19 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:54 pm

Noesi's not back yet, is he?

Guess we've got the pu-pu platter if Fat Freddy Fifth Flinger can't go a decent amount ...

20 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:56 pm

i love my captain!

[19] i think tomorrow, the 6th, is 10 days. so he should be back then...

21 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:57 pm

Cap's at .299 and his SLG is approaching .400 (.392)

22 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:57 pm

I <3 Granderson.

I <3 Granderson.

23 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:57 pm

Nothing like a nice rip into the corner. I LOVE seeing Buck pissed. Ha.

24 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:57 pm

MVP!!!

alright Tex, let's tie this bitch up. or, take the lead. i'm good with that.

25 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:58 pm

wow, what a quick hook! and we're back in it!

26 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:59 pm

Well, Showalter may be a douche, but he manages pitchers the way I would.

If they ain't got it, they ain't got it, see if someone else might.

Which, of course, is the actual point of a spot-starter/long-reliever ...

27 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 1:59 pm

in their bully already!

let's avoid that with ours. Freddy needs to settle in.

EDSP still up? (hope not...)

28 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:01 pm

[25] See, I don't think of that move as a quick hook at all, at least for a bottom of the rotation starter. I wouldn't do that with an ACE, but if it's a rookie, or a low-order starter, I'm MUCH more willing to make an early change.

I mean, if I was Girardi and I had Noesi available to me, Garcia would have already been replaced ...

29 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:01 pm

crush one, a-rod.

30 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:02 pm

nice. i like when the reliever comes in and walks the first batter.

31 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:04 pm

Ouch. C'mon, Robbie. Lace one into a gap.

32 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:04 pm

is he ok???

we best tie, then take the lead here...

33 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:05 pm

[28] It's certainly more of an option at this time of the season too (with lots of relievers available). But I don't see how that doesn't make it a quick hook. Surely that's what it is. With that said, I have no problem with it strategically. Just surprised at how quick it was. On another note, don't you think Garcia is more than a bottom of rotation starter for us?

34 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:05 pm

this guy is completely wild.

where'd it hit alex?

35 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:05 pm

[32] I think it hit his pad so he should be good.

36 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:07 pm

[35] and by that i mean left elbow pad. so it turns out that thing is useful.

37 rbj   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:08 pm

Robbie!!

38 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:08 pm

Even better. Modamn is he special.

39 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:08 pm

ROBBIECANODONTCHAKNOW?!?!?!?!?!?

40 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:08 pm

Wait, this isn't the Fourth of July, is it? Talk about fireworks.

41 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:09 pm

WOOO YEAHH!!!!

42 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:09 pm

oh - FUCK YEAH!!!

Robbie RULES!!!

i also kinda like this Waka/Jawaka guy! ; )

43 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:09 pm

By the way, what they hell is that kid doing throwing Robbie nothing but fastballs? What is he a stupido?

44 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:10 pm

bottom of the second and their SECOND pitcher has thrown 20 pitches.

45 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:10 pm

it's been a long half-inning, but i think we should send Freddy back out and see if he can settle in. hopefully, the O's are feeling deflated and we can keep the Proctologist outta this here game...

46 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:11 pm

[43] baffling for sure

47 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:11 pm

another walk!

Waka/Jawaka!!!

48 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:12 pm

I love that Robbie passed A-Gonz for RBI leaders. i like things like that.

49 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:12 pm

this is an awful lotta fun. i really do wish i was actually able to see the damn game. argh. i might have to remedy this next season...

now...DOUBLE DIGITS!!!

(then we can see EDSP...)

50 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:13 pm

[48] ooh, nice!

yeah, i'm hoping michael young passes him in batting average. just cause...

51 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:13 pm

That was a poor ab.

52 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:14 pm

aw, man. was he trying to do too much to get his first ribbies?

waka/jawaka (zappa reference, btw) can't buy a freakin' out!

53 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:15 pm

i still want double digits...

54 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:21 pm

[33] No. He's a guy with sub-par stuff who, if he's on, can be effective, but who if he's not on, is going to get crushed. If his "stuff" isn't "on", he's easily the worst of the 6 potential starters that we've got ...

55 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:22 pm

crap. so much for settling down.

56 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:23 pm

ok, FUCK!

now...get him outta there.

this is not fun anymore...

57 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:23 pm

Oh, look, another ball that's crushed.

Who could have possibly seen that coming.

A quick hook has NOTHING to do with how far into the game you've gotten, it's about pitcher stuff and game situation.

There's NO reason for Fat Freddy to still be in this game.

None.

58 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:24 pm

the #9 guy is hitting him like mad.

get him the fuck outta there! just don't put in proctor...

59 rbj   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:24 pm

Yup, gotta take Freddy out here.

60 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:25 pm

great. proctor.

why in the FUCK would you put this chump in to pitch??? cause he's "warmed up"?!

christ almighty. : /

61 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:26 pm

Oh, well, EDSP ... guess this isn't a game we want to win ...

62 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:26 pm

Everyday Scottie!!!!

63 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:26 pm

Proctology. What year is this?!??!

64 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:26 pm

Wow, a hit ... who knew?

65 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:27 pm

[63] WHY CAN'T TORRE USE FELIX HEREDIA HERE?

66 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:27 pm

not a good start. i don't have faith in proctor but i've always liked him.

67 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:29 pm

Fuckett is outta the game after 3.2 innings. i'm guessing an injury, of sorts? he was pitching great...

6K/1BB, 3 hits, no runs, 58 pitches.

Ace/Vulture took over...

68 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:31 pm

[67] oh wow, couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. i do miss ace though.

69 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:32 pm

ah, i wanted more Waka/Jawaka.

guess i have to listen to that CD instead...

70 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:33 pm

[68] yes, to all of that.

71 rbj   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:34 pm

[67] Right foot injury.

72 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:36 pm

[71] That's a shame.

73 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:41 pm

jesus motherfucking christ. starts him off w/ 2 strikes and *still* walks the leadoff man.

i can't fucking stand this chump. why in the goddamn fuck is he on my team and pitching in a Sept game we could win when trying to win the friggin' division?!?!?!

fuck.

74 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:41 pm

Right, Kay ... because Proctor and Sturtze and FLAHERTY, ARE SCRUBS, FUCKING SCRUBS.

SCRUBS *NEVER* think they should say no, BECAUSE THEY'RE SCRUBS!

75 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:42 pm

[71] aw, poor thing. will it cause him to shave his chin? i sure hope so.

[74] scrubs = excellent tv show!

76 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:42 pm

Wow, finally, glad we get to the fucking point ... eventually.

77 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:43 pm

from lohud:

UPDATE, 2:32PM: The YES Network’s Jack Curry is reporting that prospect Dellin Betances could soon join the Yankees. Curry spoke to Brian Cashman, who said he was going to discuss the possibility with Girardi.

78 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:47 pm

i just saw 2 stat lines i like:

Hideki Matsui is batting .343 with a .385 on-base percentage since the All-Star break.

Carl Pavano is an awful 1-5 with a 5.57 ERA in 10 starts since the All-Star break.

(from espn.com)

79 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:47 pm

go yard, robbie.

80 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:49 pm

[78] I'm impressed that Matsui is doing so well!

81 Sliced Bread   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:55 pm

77) forget Betances. The future is already here and his name is Proctor

82 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:55 pm

no. more proctor??? no, no, no & NO!!!

if he walks this leadoff guy...

83 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:56 pm

here comes the walk...

84 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:56 pm

i'm shocked.

i'll just go ahead and credit mark reynolds with that strikeout...

85 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:58 pm

Watching Scott Proctor pitch this afternoon...............is depressing.

86 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:58 pm

FUCK YOU, Proctor.

FUCK YOU, Joe ...

87 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:58 pm

Oh, that Scott Proctor! Sure, I remember.

88 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:59 pm

[85] No, it's FUCKING INFURIATING.

89 Sliced Bread   ~  Sep 5, 2011 2:59 pm

Hey Procky way! Tie game.

Get. Him. Out.

90 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:00 pm

and there it is.

fuck you, scott proctor. fuck you straight to fucking hell.

and fuck you, girardi.

asshole.

91 OldYanksFan   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:00 pm

Can we still Win if our BP scrubs give up an average of 1 run per IP?

92 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:00 pm

[91] Yes, we can win all the games in which the BP scrubs do not pitch.

93 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:01 pm

oh good, aaron laffey is back. how very nice.

wtf, GI Joe??? oh, and he's gonna say he's trying to win the division again??? goddamn cocksucker.

94 OldYanksFan   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:06 pm

[90] Dude! Tell us how you really feel!
Seriously, our SP went all of 2.2 IP and gave up 7 ER.
Not much Joe can do under the circumstances.

107 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:10 pm

108 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:10 pm

106) I hate curtain calls, you damn whippersnapper.

Wow what a play. Damn

110 Marek   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:11 pm

I'm dying to know what the home run call for Montero is on 880.

111 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:13 pm

[108] Yeah he didn't need to come out there. That would piss me off, too.

112 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:13 pm

Scoreless through 6.5 in Baltimore.
You all know that Beckett got hurt, of course.

113 Marek   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:15 pm

[112] I'm all choked up about it.

114 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:15 pm

like that leadoff walk from laffey. good job.

118 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:18 pm

[110] from lohud:

UPDATE, 3:10PM: For those wondering, the official John Sterling call for Montero’s homer is, “Jesus is loose!”

i think it's pretty lame...

119 Sliced Bread   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:19 pm

I don't like curtain calls either, but I'll give him a pass for first career blast, and being shoved out there by the veterans. They put him up to it. Wasn't Monty's decision.

120 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:20 pm

[118] Totally lame. It kind of de-emphasizes the holiness factor.

121 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:23 pm

Okay. Not exactly a clean inning, but pretty good.

122 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:24 pm

123 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:25 pm

What would Jesus do? Turn meatballs into gopher balls.

124 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:26 pm

Or if he worries about offending with a "Jesus" make it someting "Monty."

125 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:26 pm

[120] yeah, at first i didn't even register the rhyme, 'coz i never think of him as "hey-zeus", only "geez-iss", as in: JESUS!

126 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:27 pm

[119] True. Not like this was what Lastings Milledge did when he first came up and slapped hands with the fans after tying a game.

127 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:28 pm

I'm sure he's shying away from anything vaguely religious. It would be so easy to offend 8 million Yankee fans. (It would be extremely difficult to offend me, though.)

128 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:28 pm

i won't get to use it this season, but i can't wait for "Monty" (i don't like that, either), to hit one out vs. the Pale Hose. i'd be very disappointed if the call wasn't:

"Jesus just left Chicago"!!!

(ZZ Top, of course!)

129 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:28 pm

and i still want double digits...

130 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:30 pm

[124] Do you think saying "Jesus nailed that pitch" could be misconstrued?

131 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:31 pm

will it be sori-hamma-Mo?

132 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:32 pm

153 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:46 pm

Now, he can take a curtain call.

154 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:46 pm

Wow!
He rises fast!

155 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:46 pm

156 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:46 pm

157 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:46 pm

Damn this fucker can hit!

158 rbj   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:47 pm

Halleluiah! Jesus delivers us unto the promised land of double digits.

159 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:47 pm

Was not a bad pitch.

160 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:47 pm

He doesn't need much prodding to go out there. lol....

161 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:47 pm

It wasn't *that* out over the plate, he had to go get it a little.

162 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:48 pm

That was exactly the kind of pitch Manny would hit out the other way, too. Good comparison.

163 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:49 pm

This Savior needs to start *EVERY* game from here until the end of the season.

Well, except the last HOME game of the season, which should be for Posada ...

164 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:49 pm

Well, I sure wouldn't deny that three times.

165 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:49 pm

nailed to the fucking cross!

166 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:49 pm

[150] :)

167 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:51 pm

[164] [165] I'm trying to decide whether to save some particularly sacrilegious ones for his future successes, or just spill the whole bag now.

168 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:51 pm

Jesus and his apostles of 8.

169 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:52 pm

i can't wait to see highlights later!

got my double digits! now, i've gotta go get ready for my gig...

Hamma-Mo to..."nail" it down?! i best come back to a victory!

[165] i didn't mean that in a bad way, of course. i was actually thinking of the Whiplash song of the same name. old metal band from Jersey...

170 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:52 pm

[147] Holy shit. boooooooooooo You fucked up the syllables. It's been awhile I guess. : )

171 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:52 pm

[167] I'm kind of trying to get them all out now.

172 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:53 pm

The real Jesus learned to sin so he can hit.

173 Marek   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:54 pm

[164] My fave so far.

174 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:56 pm

How about, "Damn, I feel expurgated!"

175 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:56 pm

[170] yeah, i was wondering if you could go 7-5-7 instead of 5-7-5. i dig it, man. it's like cross-rhythm heaven! : )

176 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:56 pm

Markasis looked safe on first glace. Dumb move.

177 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:56 pm

So ... 3 shitty plays = 1 out?

I guess I'll take it ...

178 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:56 pm
179 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:57 pm

Yeah, I think he was safe.

180 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:57 pm

Can we refer to any future curtain Jesus curtain calls as Immaculate Receptions?

181 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 3:57 pm

Safe ... except for in the eyes of the one guy that counts ...

182 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:00 pm

[174] that'll work nicely if Jesus hits one out on Yom Kippur. which is Sat. Oct. 8th, so it's possible and would be a big playoff helper! : )

183 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:00 pm

[180] Approved. What are we going to call being rung up with the tying run in scoring position?

184 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:01 pm

Logan???

ok, girardi truly is doing *everything* possible to lose this game. wtf???

is d-rob ok?!

185 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:02 pm

[182] We can call him "Yahweh" on Yom Kippur.

186 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:03 pm

The Yanks should sign Moises Alou just to have some fun with this Jesus thing.

187 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:04 pm

[183] And on the 3rd strike he froze again.

188 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:05 pm

[187] if it's in April, he may have been leaning a little to the left that day.

189 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:06 pm

Damn, thought that one had the distance and THEN some ...

190 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:06 pm

"On the warning track"!?!!?

191 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:06 pm

[187] +1 internets!

192 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:07 pm

Nice Alex, nice.

193 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:08 pm

[185] Hm, different guy, I think. That's his dad.
I mean, not to start a heated religious dispute or anything.

194 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:09 pm

free baseball north of the border. (scoreless)

195 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:10 pm

[194] Good, something to watch after Mo!
A walk-off by Bautista would be awesome. Off Papelbon.

196 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:11 pm

[193] Yahweh, is such a weird name, too. i remember seeing that in 'religious studies' class back in college. i wasn't a fan of that name.

weeping is the one who knows about all this stuff, methinks...

anyway...crazy game.

let's go Mo and get it over with!

197 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:11 pm

[195] sweet jesus!

198 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:15 pm

i'm liking all the jesus quips. now c'mon Mo!

199 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:17 pm

I can see the NY Post headline already: "Jesus helps Yanks nail another win"

200 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:18 pm

[199] I probably shouldn't say "win" till the Yanks actually win.

[199] I wonder if we've been thinking of the wrong holiday. What about, "A Savior is Born"? Or that kind of thing. Prepare ye the way...

202 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:19 pm

Rats.

203 rbj   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:19 pm

206 Just Fair   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:21 pm

Holy shit, blue. Don't fucking fall asleep now.

207 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:21 pm

WTF!

208 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:21 pm

Second pitch was definitely a strike.

209 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:22 pm

Yeah, this isn't good.

210 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:22 pm

Oh no, what's happening now?

211 Dimelo   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:23 pm

[208] Hell fucking yeah that was.

212 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:23 pm

weird.

this game is laborious.

213 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:23 pm

not hitting his spots at all

214 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:23 pm

Argh, c'mon Mo!

215 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:23 pm

Yeah, he's off. Waaaaay off.
Yikes.

216 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:24 pm

Hm. WTF with all this defensive indifference shit???

217 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:24 pm

Mo is getting all Wettelandy with these saves lately

218 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:24 pm

Thanks be to Mo.

219 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:24 pm

Not only do I not WANT pie, I don't want the opportunity for pie.

Now, Mo, now!

YEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!

220 rbj   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:25 pm

Yes!

But that was a bit too close for me.

221 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:25 pm

Never worried. Not even a little.

222 seamus   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:25 pm

223 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:25 pm

now, off to work...

Go Jays!!!

224 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:25 pm

[217] Even the MoBot need oiling once in a while ...

225 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:26 pm

Jays have a base runner with nobody out...

226 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:26 pm

Mo's location has been off for a little bit now, hasn't it?

227 thelarmis   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:27 pm

[225] yeah, and Wise strikes out by bunting foul.

not too wise... : /

228 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:28 pm

Jus' see the ball and hit it.

229 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:28 pm

[227] And Papelbon throws a wild pitchout!

230 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:29 pm

[226] Maybe, but not like today, I'd say. That was bad.

231 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Sep 5, 2011 4:32 pm

[230] I'm glad I didn't have to see it.

232 RIYank   ~  Sep 5, 2011 5:00 pm

Well, an inning after Bautista and an inning after Papelbon but that will do!
