Sniff. Frost the last couple of mornings.

2 rbj   ~  Oct 28, 2011 8:07 pm

And right off the bat.

3 rbj   ~  Oct 28, 2011 8:08 pm

What the fuck?

4 rbj   ~  Oct 28, 2011 8:12 pm

Carpenter is building the Rangers a lead.

I got to go out! Hopefully can get back for the last inning or two. Go Go Game 7!!

Tied up!

Nicely turned.

8 rbj   ~  Oct 28, 2011 9:01 pm

Seems to have calmed down a bit. Thought it was going to turn into a Texas shootout.

More opposite field hitting.

10 rbj   ~  Oct 28, 2011 9:04 pm

Dropsies!

These people can't catch the baseball.
How these two made it this far is beyond me.

Another opposite field hit.

And a Molina is again in scoring position. They really need to post Emma's Molina warning. (Heck, she should expand it and shop it around. I'd buy it.)

And that's how you catch a foul ball.

15 rbj   ~  Oct 28, 2011 9:57 pm

Timmah, in a game 7 I'd rather have a walk in a run than a start the runners.

Does anyone else feel that Cruz should have absolutely caught last night's game tying 'triple'?

[16] He has a leg injury, I don't think he could catch it. Should have told Ron, and put a better defender in there.

19 Normando   ~  Oct 28, 2011 10:06 pm

(16) absolutely shoulda. Between that and the awful umping, I can't help but wonder if there are outside influences at work.

20 rbj   ~  Oct 28, 2011 10:16 pm

Arthur Rhodes is warming for the Cards?

21 OldYanksFan   ~  Oct 28, 2011 10:51 pm

I get the feeling Nolan Ryan is going to go out tonight and beat somebody up.

My hope and prediction for this series was that it would go 7 and whoever lost did so in epic heartbreaking fashion. I have been giving my band wagon jumping sister in Dallas shit this whole series. I just hope larussa calls a cab later. A question for all who have been watching. Have they showed much of mcgwire in the dugout this series? Or even talked about him. If not, good.

23 Alex Belth   ~  Oct 28, 2011 11:30 pm

Congrats to the Cards.

Lovely, just lovely.

Texas in Game 7 = Misery.

FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC.

25 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Oct 28, 2011 11:37 pm

Just back, missed the ending. What a horrendous loss for Texas..just brutal.

[25] Just brutal = just lovely!!!

The St. Louis Cardinals: World Champions. Just getting into the playoffs, and now this...a great expectation.

I should hate the Cards, after all Ken Boyer made me cry, but I don't.

Congrats to the Cardinals. Like Cult, it's difficult to get behind anything Texas...so the better outcome was realized for me.

The Yankees shoulda been there. It's going to be a long winter. Pitchers and Catchers February 15?

And, thanks to the Banter for a great season. Alex, it just keeps getting better.

Ever year, I'm a bit stunned when the baseball season ends. There is always a feeling of loss, when I think about the Series, and then realize baseball is no more for the long New England Winter.

Fortunately, the Internet and Mr. Belth are around to keep me company.

Now.... it's a long few day until the Stove heats up.

29 Alex Belth   ~  Oct 28, 2011 11:58 pm

...And the Yanks are going to announce Cashman's signing shortly, and hopefully they'll get something done with C.C. too.

[29] Yes!

And then a surprise deal with the Hurling Darvish!

But ... then, one can only hope ...

31 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Oct 29, 2011 12:23 am

[30] I LOVE watching Darvish pitch but..man, J pitchers scare me. They are just so, so over worked, all the time..

32 cult of basebaal   ~  Oct 29, 2011 12:30 am

[31] Yes! ... but!! ... he's young!!! ... AND !!!!!!! ... he also doesn't count against the luxury tax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

33 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Oct 29, 2011 12:36 am

[32] Your enthusiasm!! is contagious!!! Ok, let's make a run at him!!!! He'll do wonders for US-Iran relations, too!

34 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Oct 29, 2011 1:03 am

Always fun to watch the final out and celebration. Congrats, Cards!
And obligatory annoying voice over from Curt Schilling on E#PN "This is Middle America, all that's great about our country.." Really Curt? Cause it's majority white and Christian? Please get off tv and stick to video games you fat blowhard!

35 Simone   ~  Oct 29, 2011 9:33 am

[34] LOL! You got Schilling right. I change the channel when he comes on ESPN.
