On an unrelated note, former Reds standout Pedro Borbon has died at the age of 65. Borbon was a Jeff Nelson-type reliever who had the ultimate rubber arm. From 1972 to 1977, he logged more than 100 innings each season, pitching effectively for the Big Red Machine. He was also particularly good in the postseason.

A real character off the field, Borbon listed "rooster fighting" as one of his hobbies and once bit a bouncer in the chest in a 1970s disco. Borbon's nickname, of course, was "Dracula."

Pitcher. High school. Big kid. High ceiling.

I dunno, short of Bryce Harper it's hard to get excited by a draftee. Maybe it's just me.

[2] I know that I get pretty excited about watching the organization "develop" him over the next several years.
