It occurs to me that that's like the "Johnny B. Goode" of Hip Hop or something. . . the "Hound Dog"
I remember hearing it at the YMCA summer came in 1983. That and "Buffalo Gals" were the big records that summer. Or at least two of them. That was my first introduction to rap records.
