Misconfused

I went to pick up a package at Todd-AO studios on 54th Street once many years ago and the clerk told me it wasn’t ready, said “there must be some kind of misconfusion.”

Which is something like Brian Cashman said today about Mariano Rivera on Jim Duquette’s show. Via Hardball Talk.

Misunderestimate Mo at your own risk.

I waited tables a million years ago.

Someone told me she had an "inversion to ranch dressing".

I loved that.

It is wrong. But also sort of right. Albeit wrong.

Oh Lord, please don't let me be misunderstood.

I can see Cashman's wrath with the physical therapist. There is something called care-giver/patient confidentiality. Unless Mo told the therapist it's ok to talk about his condition, he/she had no right to.

I do like that the rumored return of Mo probably kept Raffie S.'s competitive juices going.

Miss Otis regrets Mo's unable to pitch today (or this year, for that matter), madam.

[2] Better than a perversion.

I think Cashman is being strategic as well. There no point in pining for a week of Mo who isn't quire 100%, even if that was an outside possibility.

Cashman is saying, even if he's ready we are not to gamble on him this year.

We'll be lucky to get Joba back.
