Rauuoooool.

Settle down, Hughesie. Man, this could be one of those nights, huh?

Angels get Greinke. Damn.

[2] Heard that on the LA ESPN affiliate as I was pulling into the driveway. The AL West ought to be a hell of a race.

[2] ESPN has the trade as Greinke for "shortstop Jean Segura and two Double-A pitchers, according to FoxSports.com"

JETAH!

6 cult of basebaal   ~  Jul 27, 2012 7:03 pm

Well, that was an interesting choice by Gonzalez.

7 cult of basebaal   ~  Jul 27, 2012 7:05 pm

Well done Tesh, see what happens when you don't try and pull everything?

8 cult of basebaal   ~  Jul 27, 2012 7:13 pm

Ugh.

That's just ... not awesome, Phil.

9 cult of basebaal   ~  Jul 27, 2012 7:20 pm

Bodie go BOOM!

10 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:05 pm

Wow, so it turns out to be a decent start for Phil!
I mean, 3 HR is not a good start, but, 3R in 7IP, and he finished strong.

Yeah, it certainly didn't feel like it was going to be a good game for him, but he battled early and then settled down.

Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuughes!

Hey all! First time I get to talk to you all since my est coast trip.

13 Mattpat11   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:11 pm

[10] Catfish had a very good career giving up solo homers.

14 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:12 pm

[12] West, not East, right?

15 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:13 pm

[13] Hm, true, but.

16 Mattpat11   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:16 pm

[14] Yeah, West. Saw the Yankees in Oakland and a Giants/Padres game on the bay

[12] Howdy, MP, where out est did your trip take you?

=)

[16] Random Telecomm Park is a great place to catch a game if the weather is nice.

The Oakland Coliseum ... not so much.

19 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:22 pm

Hammered.

20 Mattpat11   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:25 pm

[18] AT&T is just gorgeous, especially at night.

From the outside, the Oakland Coliseum is every bad thing you've ever heard. A big, ugly, dirty, concrete bowl.

From the inside, it has some charm. Its not great or anything, but its nicer than it appears on TV.

21 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:29 pm

I would not object to an Ichiro bunt here.

22 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:31 pm

I would be okay with an Ichiro steal here.

23 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:31 pm

Grrrr.

24 cult of basebaal   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:32 pm

Well, what's a night without some #RiSPFail?

25 cult of basebaal   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:35 pm

OTOH, I root for Dancin' Melancin. I thought he got a raw deal from the Yankees, so I hope he does well ...

26 cult of basebaal   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:36 pm

OT*O*OH ... I like Curtis more, so ... GRANDYMAN!!!

27 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:37 pm

GranderSLAM.

Wow, that was really satisfying.

28 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:38 pm

Double digits, so our work here is done.

29 Simone   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:41 pm

Nice, grand slam. Costas is driving me crazy as usual so I decided to check in on the game.

30 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:45 pm

Hm, was it wise to use our Secret Weapon with a 7 run lead?

31 RIYank   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:50 pm

Good enough, CE.

32 cult of basebaal   ~  Jul 27, 2012 8:50 pm

Well, I guess he was out at 2nd ...
