Dang, Curtis just missed.

2 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 12:45 pm

Yeah, lots of swinging and missing early on.

3 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 12:47 pm

Oy, too bad. Does Pearce get credit for running the count full at least?

4 rbj   ~  Sep 16, 2012 12:54 pm

[3] Moral victory?

5 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 12:55 pm

[4] Who's ahead in the Moral Division race, by the way?

6 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:01 pm

Nice early start for Hiroki.

7 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:01 pm

Way to go Nunie. Now, to get him home safely.

8 rbj   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:01 pm

[5] The Twins?

9 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:01 pm

Oh, yeah, and Nunie, don't get clever and try to steal third willya hah?

10 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:03 pm

Oh, fuck yes.

11 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:03 pm

Beating the Rays with smallball!

You know Girardi is happy.

12 rbj   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:03 pm

Nice, a HWRISP!

13 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:04 pm

[8] They are highly moral.

Of course, with all this stealing, taking extra bases, and bunting, the Yankees are having an extremely moral game.

14 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:04 pm

Bronx bunters.

15 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:05 pm

Let's go, Alex. Get that runner home, now.

16 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:06 pm

Shit, A Rod is going to whiff here.

17 Chyll Will   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:06 pm

Umm, what was that... scoring? With a runner in scoring position? And without a home run? Who does that??

18 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:07 pm

Hmmmmph.
Yes!
Smack.

19 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:07 pm

YES! Take THAT Maddon. Take THAT A. Belth, ye of little faith.

20 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:07 pm

Okay, drive HIM home now Robbie.

21 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:08 pm

Good 2-0 take by Robbie.

22 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:09 pm

"The urgency it takes to create a win is a symbol of these things we do in practice."

TBS < YES

23 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:09 pm

Wow! A Rod, dag.

24 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:09 pm

WHO ARE THESE GUYS???

25 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:09 pm

Russell...get it in the air.

26 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:10 pm

Man, he doesn't get cheated on his swing, does he? lol

27 rbj   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:10 pm

[13] More morals! Come on Russel.

28 OldYanksFan   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:11 pm

Ya goota be impressed when a guy is making $25m a year with 600+ HRs, and still leads the team in SB.

I hate ARod's bad rap. The guy plays the game hard.

29 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:13 pm

Russell with the Muscle!!!

30 rbj   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:13 pm

Tainted runs!

31 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:13 pm

Great at bat.

32 Chyll Will   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:15 pm

Oh, well kinda looked familiar (to a certain degree)...

33 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:17 pm
34 rbj   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:17 pm

A warning? Yeesh. Takes away the inside.

35 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:18 pm

Dumb move by the ump. But sheeeeit. Hiroki has a 5 run lead. It's on him to make this hold up.

36 OldYanksFan   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:19 pm

MLB REALLY has to do something about these umps that are soooooo trigger happy to throw people out of the game. In the old days a manager could insult an ump's entire family going back 3 generations, and the ump just took it. Now they throw you out over nothing.

37 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:19 pm

Curtis shows how it's done.
That's how you get revenge for a brush-back!

38 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:20 pm

Cut down on that swing now. Jeez, Conan, a base hit will do.

39 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:22 pm

Had Pearce 3-2 last inning, got him on the slider. Tried it again this time, foul. Then a cutter, foul again. Hang in Pearcie.

40 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:23 pm

Too bad. Moral victory? Raised Moore's pitch count by eight pitches.

41 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:26 pm

Uh, we'll give Hiroki one for the long lay off. Damn.

42 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:26 pm

Oh, good, didn't walk him.

43 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:26 pm

[41] Yep, no more of that Hiro.

44 rbj   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:29 pm

[33] Hadn't heard that since the last century.

OK, good recovery Hideki.

45 rbj   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:34 pm

Nunez! Finally doing it right.

46 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:35 pm

Amazing.
Next we'll be doing those weird shifts in the field, and they'll work.

47 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:35 pm

This is kind of embarrassing for Moore, huh?

48 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:38 pm

Booooooo.

Unproductive out. We no longer stand for those.

49 rbj   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:39 pm

Oh well, it's a sac fly.

50 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:39 pm

Slightly disappointing, but acceptable, Centaur.

51 rbj   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:41 pm

This is embarrassing. I love it.

52 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:41 pm

Hah!

Too bad, non-lame Jeter would have scored. Girardi sucks, shoulda put a PR in.

53 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:42 pm

[47] Its probably also eating him up knowing he's bombing in one of the biggest games of the year for his team.

54 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:44 pm

Keep em down, Hiroki...

55 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:47 pm

Hiro is mowing em down.

56 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:47 pm

1-2-3, what we like to see. But it's a shame that Fuld is hurt.

57 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:48 pm

Oh my god.

That was amazing. Robinson, what can you say?

58 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:51 pm

[56] That's why you don't dog it on a ground ball.

59 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 16, 2012 1:55 pm

Ricky Romero, with the huge reverse platoon splits. Think we load up on righties anyway?

60 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:02 pm

Where was that pitch, Blue?

61 mhoward120   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:02 pm

Boy, do the Giants really blow

62 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:03 pm

61) No football, please.

63 mhoward120   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:04 pm

(61) Exactly my point

64 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:05 pm

Bear down, Hiroki.

65 mhoward120   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:07 pm

Tex woulda had it

66 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:07 pm

What a DUMB FUCK. That Shithead should be escorted out of the park. Fucking Moron.

67 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:07 pm

C'mon, Hiroki...

68 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:08 pm

[66] Man, if you're wearing a Swisher jersey in the Stadium right now, I don't envy you.

69 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:08 pm

Oh no. Come on.

70 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:08 pm

God dammit.

71 mhoward120   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:08 pm

66) I gotta disagree, Alex. That was all on Pearce

72 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:09 pm

68) Seriously, that guy is an asshole. How about a little court awareness, you putz.

73 rbj   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:10 pm

This isn't good.

74 mhoward120   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:10 pm

So much for another Sunday laugher

75 Chyll Will   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:10 pm

When I was younger, my family adopted a feisty chocolate toy poodle; my youngest sister renamed him from Pierre to Pyewacket (after the cat from Bell, Book & Candle); but my oldest sister would tease him into conniptions by calling him Noonice or Noonie. She would find him hiding under the bed or hiding around a corner about to pounce and she would start teasing him, "Noooooo-nice! NOOOOOON-EEE!" And he would snarl and yapyapyap in complete hysterics. I think of that whenever Nunez is around for some strange reason.

My preferred nickname for him though was SHADDUP!! >;)

76 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:11 pm

We're gonna lose this game. Son of a bitch+

77 rbj   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:11 pm

Shit

78 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:11 pm

Shit luck.

79 mhoward120   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:12 pm

O fuck, the Return of the 1960 Game 7 8th Inning Bad Hop

80 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:12 pm

Hiroki has to fucking Man-Up here.

81 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:13 pm

The worst part of this is its early enough in the game to let Joe play MATCHUPS.

82 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:14 pm

Whew. Just foul.

83 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:15 pm

Acceptable.

84 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:15 pm

6-4. Can we please hold them here and score 12?

85 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:15 pm

Get out of it, Hiroks.

86 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:15 pm

84) Here, here.

87 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:17 pm

Let him pitch the seventh.

88 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:18 pm

Let's hope all the back luck for the game was featured in that inning.

Meanwhile...Hello Score Truck? Where you at?

89 mhoward120   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:24 pm

How much does A-Rod's sac fly really hurt now!?!

90 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:29 pm

I would have kept Hiroki in there.

91 mhoward120   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:29 pm

90) Ditto

92 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:30 pm

Oh, boy. Nice place, Nunez.

93 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:30 pm

Hey, look at that. Nuñez can catch flies.

Oh, right, match-ups. Good job, Boonie.

94 randym77   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:30 pm

That was pretty deep for a SS.

95 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:30 pm

Oh, boy. Nice play, Nunez.

And Logan's in there for just one batter?

96 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:30 pm

Words cannot fully describe how much I hate this.

97 mhoward120   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:31 pm

Guess Logan's the RHB specialist now

98 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:32 pm

I dunno about this, man.

99 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:33 pm

Two pitches, one out. Good.

100 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:33 pm

Hmm.

Guess the bad luck wasn't done yet.

102 mhoward120   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:37 pm

Joba for the tie?

103 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:37 pm

Fucking Hell.

104 mhoward120   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:39 pm

I do like this rook

105 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:39 pm

P.C. Richards, Baby!

106 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:39 pm

David Phelps, very nice.

107 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:43 pm

I really don't like where this is going.

108 Alex Belth   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:53 pm

How was that 1-2 pitch NOT a strike, BLUE?

109 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:56 pm

Two down.
One more Nail, baby.

110 rbj   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:57 pm

Nice.

111 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:57 pm

NAILED.

112 mhoward120   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:57 pm

Looks like D Rob has his mojo back

113 RIYank   ~  Sep 16, 2012 2:58 pm

And Matt Joyce get tossed!

Good for us, but these umps have to get tougher, skinwise.

114 rbj   ~  Sep 16, 2012 3:00 pm

Over sensitive much, ump?

115 mhoward120   ~  Sep 16, 2012 3:14 pm

What is going on at 3d?

116 rbj   ~  Sep 16, 2012 3:15 pm

Phew!

Untuck

117 Mattpat11   ~  Sep 16, 2012 3:16 pm

Hooray!

118 mhoward120   ~  Sep 16, 2012 3:26 pm

With apologies to Alex, GIANTS WIN!

119 mhoward120   ~  Sep 16, 2012 3:26 pm

And, again, a Shana Tovah to all!

120 OldYanksFan   ~  Sep 16, 2012 3:31 pm

"Before Friday's game, Bobby Valentine was asked whether there was a particular area of his team that could most use some extra help.
'Are you kidding?' Valentine responded. 'This is the weakest roster we've ever had in September in the history of baseball. It could use help everywhere.'"

Think Bobby is getting any Boston heat for that?

And the A's take a 2-0 lead on the O's.

121 Chyll Will   ~  Sep 16, 2012 4:03 pm

[117] They almost forgot who they were playing against.
