El Silencioso Untucked

Over at ESPN, Jorge Arangure, Jr. profiles Rafael Soriano. And here is a piece Daniel Barbarisi wrote on Soriano in July.

Who knew El Silencioso was also El Menchioso?

There was always a feeling of this guy was the odd man out, had no close friends on the team, was not wanted by the GM. Now we have an idea of what makes him tick, and he deserves admiration beyond his performance. Good read.

i read the espn article late last nite and was quite impressed. he had a bad rep here in the atlanta clubhouse. it's not easy to be disliked on the braves and usually it's warranted (see: escobar, yunel), but in Sori's case, it now seems it was unwarranted/misunderstood.

i want Mo back next season, but i do hope the Silent Untuck does not opt out.
