At least the Tigers are going 5 and have to burn Verlander today rather than start the LCS.

I'm with you, AB, but not in that order. Go Yanks!

From Lohud:

Keep in mind that Eric Chavez has played more than 1,500 big league games in his career. Keep in mind that he’s won five Gold Gloves, one Silver Slugger, and once homered in a game that clinched a postseason series. Keep in mind that he’s not the guy who homered tonight.

“(This game) is my best baseball moment in my whole career, without a doubt,” Chavez said. “… There’s not even a close second.”

From the locker right next to Chavez.

“That’s probably my favorite moment in baseball so far in my career,” Russell Martin said. “Just unbelievable.”

Donald Trump demands that A-Rod be dropped in Yankees batting order
Of course he does. Donald Trump issued his demand on Twitter on Wednesday afternoon, though it wasn't known whether he already had seen Joe Girardi's lineup for ALDS Game 3. Yes, Alex Rodriguez is staying put in the No. 3 spot against the Baltimore Orioles, no matter how many media outlets or rich folk clamor for a change

Regardless, The Donald let his opinion be known as only The Donald can:
A-Rod must be dropped in the Yankees line-up tonight if they want to win. He simply can't perform without drugs.

4) That was so cool.

I just saw last night's Oakland/Detroit boxscore. AMAZING comeback by the Miracle A's. By the by, how come the A's have Homefield advantage. Weren't they the Wildcard?

So happy that Valverde lost the game for the A's. There aren't as many players that I dislike in MLB since Pedro retired, but Valverde's antics don't sit well with me.

I am not a fan of the theatrics of pitchers or players after hitting a homer. This goes for you too Joba and to a degree Soriano.

But Valverde is a real punk.

Same deal in Football when a guy scores a touchdown.

7) No, they won the West on the final day of the season.

8) Agreed. He's a chump.

[5] The Donald is insufferable. I can't believe people follow that windbag on twitter. Gotta think almost anything is better to do than that. Cleaning toilets is more productive.

[8] [9] Valverde is a classless punk. Me no likey. And while I don't like Joba's histrionics, Soriano's shirt thing doesn't bother me so much. It's more like a trademark move and possibly a result of superstition.

Buster Posey just busted a Grand Salami.
Gints up 6-0 in the 5th. Pretty close to ovah.

[10] Insufferable is the perfect word. Classless would be another. I guess all the money in the world can't fix a broken ego.

Busta Bust.

Reds get three back, hanging in there, 6-3.

YES from me, to all comments so far!

Esp [1] indeed, and I am now rooting for the Tigers. Even though we could still face Verlander twice. Because we definitely would not face him three times.
