When The Lights Go Out

More photos via The Atlantic.

We’ve still got power at 9:30 but it’s not much fun waiting this out right about now. But we’re okay. Hope you are too.

Seems like the surge has greatly receded, so hopefully, the worst has passed.

Be safe, and stay dry.

Been following all day here, bless those poor folks being evacuated from the hospitals. Hope the power is restored soon.

And for those stranded at Newark International Airport..yikes...

Hope everyone in and around NYC is safe and (mostly) dry! We got through the wind and rain in MA pretty well.

Lost power here. I hope it's restored faster than the Irene aftermath (which left us in the dark for almost two weeks).

We have a small generator now, so we'll be fine. I'd be okay with focusing the relief and restoration efforts on midtown Manhattan and worry about me later :-)
