I’m a Mook? What’s a Youk?

Our man William thinks Napoli and Youk are the mooks for the Yanks.

How times have changed, the idea of Youk wearing pinstripes would have caused me to barf as recent as 8 months ago. Now I'm totally fine with that idea. Fickle? Yes.

Maybe, but William makes some decent points to supplement the fickleness. Besides, it's not like we haven't been down this road before with ex-Red Sox players who were cast aside too easily. But you only hope the things that the front office can't control (motivation on several fronts) fall into place, or it would be a looooong season...

Funny, I've irrationally and rationally loathed many a Red Sock, but Youk never bothered me. My kinda player.

Good suggestions both, William. Had not considered them.

Oh, and congratulations on Robinson Cano becoming a US citizen.

Welcome to America, Robbie.

I'm fine with Youk wearing pinstripes. Papelbon, on the other hand. . . not so much.

Wow, hadn't heard that about Cano. Too bad, he just missed voting!

Ugly never bothered me. I'd be happy to have him on board.

Never mind that, eyeball this:

An industry source has confirmed that the Marlins have traded five players to the Toronto Blue Jays — right-handed starter Josh Johnson, left-handed starter Mark Buehrle, shortstop Jose Reyes, outfielder Emilio Bonifacio and catcher John Buck.

The Marlins will get shortstop Yunel Escobar and infielder Adeiny Hechavarria along with pitchers Henderson Alvarez and Justin Nicolino, according to FoxSports.com.

Hate the Youk. I can't imagine a more whiny ballplayer. I think I'd have a more difficult time with him than with Johnny Caveman.

Paps would test the limits of my Yankee faith. It might force me to take a sabbatical.

I'd rather the Yankees shop somewhere other than the Red Sox dumpster.

[9] The AL East will be just brutal next year.

hate youk
hate pap
hate pedroia

if any of those 3 were ever to become yankees, I don't know if I could stomach watching the games. Living in Mass and hearing about their whiny-ness all the time, and hearing how Youk was a clubhouse cancer, etc., has probably colored my judgment
