And Dick Cavett really doesn't get the praise he deserves. He always seemed to be the kind of guy who was genuinely interested in what his guests had to say, and his wit and curiosity brought out the best in them.

He was writing a great blog not so long ago in the NY Times website, but it seems to have disappeared.
