Kershaw and the Dodgers hope to live another day.

A trip to the Serious is on the line for the Cards. It says here that they find a way to win.

Never mind nuthin’:

Let’s Go Dod-gers!

Eh. Gimme the Cards. I don't like LA

I'll take LA, the Cards (and their insufferable BFiB) are really beginning to rub me the wrong way this year.

Besides, if the Dodgers win, I get to go to my 1st WS game.

I'd even go so far as to say that if it ends up Cards vs Sox, the only thing I'm rooting for is the meteorite.

Not that I'd know, because I won't be watching ...

One man's crusade to pitch Mo for a nine inning win on MLB13 video game. lol...
It was entertaining to me. Your mileage may vary. : )

[3] Go sweet, sweet meteor of death!

8 cult of basebaal   ~  Oct 18, 2013 7:30 pm

[7] I'm afraid a mere meteor would not provide the lethal amount of annihilation that I am seeking ...

9 rbj   ~  Oct 18, 2013 7:36 pm

[8] Go sweet, sweet asteroid of doom!

10 cult of basebaal   ~  Oct 18, 2013 7:40 pm

[9] Even worse, asteroid are even farther away from what I desire!

(this is where a pedant would point out the crucial difference between meteors and meteorites ... if there was a pedant around)

[10] ;-)

12 rbj   ~  Oct 18, 2013 7:55 pm

[10] and don't forget meteoroids. So you don't want a planetary object to smash into and annihilate earth in the event of a Sawx - Cards WS? I'm already dreading the stories about "how passionate both fan bases are."

13 cult of basebaal   ~  Oct 18, 2013 7:59 pm

[12] Annihilate earth?

No.

I wouldn't be around to gloat in that event ...

14 rbj   ~  Oct 18, 2013 8:05 pm

[13] If it's Sawx - Cards, I'm rooting for doom.

15 cult of basebaal   ~  Oct 18, 2013 8:07 pm

[14] I'm only rooting for their doom ...

I think a meteorologist of death would be superior.

17 RIYank   ~  Oct 18, 2013 8:10 pm

Cool and cloudy today, with a chance of untimely demise...

18 cult of basebaal   ~  Oct 18, 2013 8:22 pm

Meatballs???

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in meat.
From what I've tasted of defeat
I hold with those who favor meat.

(Sorry, RF.)

Bah.

Beltan!!!

(not that I have anything against Beltran ... I'm just pissed he hasn't been a Yankee for the last 7 years ... GRRRRRR)

21 Ara Just Fair   ~  Oct 18, 2013 8:35 pm

I am sick of Beltran. Christ Almighty! The thought of another Cardinals-sox series is horse shit.

STABBY!

STABBY!!

STABBY!!!

23 Ara Just Fair   ~  Oct 18, 2013 8:44 pm

That's a fucking strike. WTF!

24 rbj   ~  Oct 18, 2013 8:44 pm

FU blue. At the knees.

25 Ara Just Fair   ~  Oct 18, 2013 8:45 pm

sigh.... Mattingly should go nuts and get tossed.

26 cult of basebaal   ~  Oct 18, 2013 8:46 pm

Oh, well ... GO TIGERS!!!

27 Boatzilla   ~  Oct 18, 2013 8:51 pm

This game is a bummer.

I just mistakenly turned on the NHK feed on the old telly, and found they have Gary Thorn and Rick Suckdick in the booth (International team). Without a doubt, the worst announcers in the history of mankind.

28 rbj   ~  Oct 18, 2013 8:55 pm

"Floating strike zone" if even TBS can see that you know it's bad.

29 rbj   ~  Oct 18, 2013 9:02 pm

Night all.

30 RIYank   ~  Oct 18, 2013 9:06 pm

Sorry, Jon, in case you drop in.

Any of you remember the Yankee Dodger rivalry? My Mom rooted for the Dodgers, because they couldn't win a World Series. People didn't talk with one another if they didn't root for the same team. And, they weren't even in the same league. Then, of course, came O'Malley. People wouldn't go to the games, because they were in Flatbush, now Crown Heights. I used to live there. Damn. I wish I still did.
