oh, was just looking for this. They scored a run! Amazing!

2 seamus   ~  Jul 2, 2014 12:33 pm

And yes, they quickly left two runners on base right after that post. This team is brutal.

3 seamus   ~  Jul 2, 2014 12:42 pm

Nuno does look good though. I suppose it's good this guy has thrown a lot of pitches.

4 seamus   ~  Jul 2, 2014 12:56 pm

bleh.

5 seamus   ~  Jul 2, 2014 12:58 pm

well, that could have been worse. It's just frustrating that this team doesn't give me more hope and excitement than it does.

6 seamus   ~  Jul 2, 2014 1:05 pm

wow, two runs!

7 Alex Belth   ~  Jul 2, 2014 1:05 pm

McCann. Nice.

8 Sliced Bread   ~  Jul 2, 2014 1:06 pm

fuck yeah, mcann!
one run lead is more than enough for the great Nuno.

9 seamus   ~  Jul 2, 2014 1:07 pm

well, it's good he beat the throw from right field.

10 Alex Belth   ~  Jul 2, 2014 1:24 pm

A single for Sori! Yay!

11 Sliced Bread   ~  Jul 2, 2014 1:36 pm

MVP! MVP! Gardy!

12 rbj   ~  Jul 2, 2014 1:41 pm

Oh sure, have some offense during a day game when I'm at work.

13 Alex Belth   ~  Jul 2, 2014 1:43 pm

Another lead!

14 Sliced Bread   ~  Jul 2, 2014 1:51 pm

Skyrockets in flight (slide guitar) afterNuno delight!
Ahhhhhhafter-Nuno delight!

15 novayankeefan   ~  Jul 2, 2014 1:52 pm

And another lead given up!

16 thelarmis   ~  Jul 2, 2014 2:02 pm

Fuck. I wish the score truck would show back up and deliver a blowout win...

17 Sliced Bread   ~  Jul 2, 2014 2:03 pm

Shawn of the Dead Kelly gives up the two run job.

18 RIYank   ~  Jul 2, 2014 2:18 pm

So when we score some runs, we have weak-ass pitching.
Snake bit.

Also, why is Shawn Kelley on the team? I forget Did he pitch well in April or something? He's been just brutal.

19 RIYank   ~  Jul 2, 2014 2:20 pm

[15] Intriguing -- what is 'novayankeefan'? Scotia? Ivan? Lox?

20 thelarmis   ~  Jul 2, 2014 2:35 pm

Let the last place team come back multiple times, score 4 frames in a row, and sweep us at home.

Pure motherfucking bollocks.

Under .500 here we come...

21 rbj   ~  Jul 2, 2014 2:36 pm

Listening to the Tigers - A's game. Tigers with a 9-2 lead. So apparently some teams can score runs.

22 Alex Belth   ~  Jul 2, 2014 2:45 pm

C'mon you motherfuckers, win the damn game.

23 novayankeefan   ~  Jul 2, 2014 2:46 pm

(15) That would be Villanova, Yankee Fan!

24 RIYank   ~  Jul 2, 2014 2:48 pm

Huh. Beltran didn't get a hit. With two runners on.

Go figure.

25 RIYank   ~  Jul 2, 2014 2:51 pm

Yeah.

I dunno. What's the point? The futility is palpable.

26 Alex Belth   ~  Jul 2, 2014 2:51 pm

Dear Brian Cashman. Lil' help?

27 RIYank   ~  Jul 2, 2014 2:52 pm

[23] Oh, of course!
I think I'm going to be in Philly for the Fourth. I like Philadelphia in the summer, a lot.

28 RIYank   ~  Jul 2, 2014 3:07 pm

Huh. Soriano struck out.

29 novayankeefan   ~  Jul 2, 2014 3:09 pm

(27), Hotter than hell today around here!

30 Alex Belth   ~  Jul 2, 2014 3:15 pm

BOOOOOOOOO!

31 RIYank   ~  Jul 2, 2014 3:15 pm

[29] Here too. Also in Philly.

32 rbj   ~  Jul 2, 2014 3:30 pm

Oh goody, I get home in time to see horseshit defense.

33 rbj   ~  Jul 2, 2014 3:42 pm

Boooooooo

34 Alex Belth   ~  Jul 2, 2014 3:42 pm

Swept by the worst team in baseball.

35 Chyll Will   ~  Jul 2, 2014 4:13 pm

Guess we would have been better off with "not today", huh?

36 jjmerlock   ~  Jul 2, 2014 5:56 pm

This team is going to be out of it by the all star break and I saw this shit coming from a mile away. This is a shitty team.

37 RIYank   ~  Jul 2, 2014 7:02 pm

[35] Or yesterday. Or the day before. I'd continue, but it's getting a little depressing.

Well, I don't think the Rays are actually the worst team in baseball. There's the Astros. And the D-Backs.

And the team that's in the process of sweeping the Red Sox.

Boston super-prospect and recent call-up Mookie "Don't Call Me Dicky" Betts is starting in CF. He tore up the minors, but is now hitting .083 for the big club. He also misplayed a deep drive into a triple.

I know. But it's all I have.
