Lewis throwing big, fat pitches. Let's start hitting them!

Colby Lewis looks like a taller, less effective, version of Bartolo Colon

Thanks Alex. I was beginning to feel lonesome!

Nice RBI for Headley too

[7] hi and bye. Just realized McCarthy is pitching.

9 seamus   ~  Jul 24, 2014 1:22 pm

That's a lot of pitches. He might not get through 6.

10 seamus   ~  Jul 24, 2014 1:23 pm

jesus, throw strikes.

11 seamus   ~  Jul 24, 2014 1:26 pm

nice! That's a good way to finish anyhow. And one run I like.

O'Neill: "Just waiting for this offense to break out." There you go, Paul!

Yes Cervelli!

14 seamus   ~  Jul 24, 2014 1:38 pm

I was confused but I see now that Ellsbury is leading off. Interesting lineup.

15 seamus   ~  Jul 24, 2014 1:40 pm

bummer he ran that down. real nice drive by Gardner. But hey, a run yay!

16 seamus   ~  Jul 24, 2014 2:06 pm

inauspicious entry to the game for Warren. I failed to note that McCarthy managed to get through 6 with only 1 run. 1.0 WHIP for the day and 5 Ks. Not bad overall.

Phew. Betances looked good though that last out made me temporarily nervous near that short porch.

Feelin' good about not having to face Prince Fielder the last 4 days

19 Alex Belth   ~  Jul 24, 2014 2:36 pm

C'mon McCann put one in the seats.

Almonte hit 3 homers in today's suspended game. He didn't play the second game. Should be on his way to New York. The less we see of Ichiro the better.
