Boom Bap

Tire Bags

Here it is, Bam, and you say, “Goddamn, this is a dope jam.”

Special delivery, indeed. The Yanks were all but cooked last night, down 9-1, and then 11-4. But they came back, tied the game in the 9th and won it in the 10th. You know how sometimes it seems like they can never score a run? Late in the game it was as if every Yankee batter was going to go yard. Aaron Judge hit two Dave Winfield line drive specials, Jacoby Ellsbury hit his first career grand slam (incidentally also his 100th career homer), Starlin Castro pulled a one-knee Adrian Beltre job when he tied the game in the 9th, and Matt Holliday ended it in extra innings.

A memorable win.

More this afternoon on a uncomfortably humid day in the BX.

Never mind the moisture:

Let’s Go Yank-ees!

Woo-hoo. I will not say this is a comfortable lead (what is?), but I do need to get some sleep.

Whew.
Just got home but I did get to watch a bunch of AB on my phone. What a luxury.

Also, seven runs is luxurious.

Warren wild, but got out of it. Send him back out for the 7th and hope he's calmed down.

7-2 Yanks!

Romine! Gritner too.

Lettuce get to double digits again!!

15 RIYank   ~  Apr 29, 2017 2:23 pm

Brett and Austin have all the RBI between them? Go figure.

16 RIYank   ~  Apr 29, 2017 2:27 pm

What are they talking about? Why would the Yankees want to option Romine down to SWB, or trade him, anyway? Did they just get confused, or am I missing something?

17 rbj   ~  Apr 29, 2017 2:43 pm

double digits!

They keep saying Judge stole a base, but it's not in the box score.

Waking up on a sunny International Jazz Day, getting ready for our photo exhibit and party, watching the Yanks over breakfast. Life is good!

[30] Think it can last? I still kind of fear the BoSox...they'll start hitting soon.

32 thelarmis   ~  Apr 29, 2017 11:26 pm

Jazz - are you at Chavez Ravine tonight?! Holy crap!!!

33 Evil Empire   ~  Apr 30, 2017 12:08 pm
