Another great Hughburg-ian day of baseball!

2 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:00 pm

Let's Go PHILLIP

3 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:15 pm

Don't know anything about Chad Huffman, but Baseball Cube's scouting report looks pretty decent:
Power: 78 (of 100)
Batting: 83
Contact: 74
Patience: 70

4 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:16 pm

Ummmmm.... Posada shows us something new....

5 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:18 pm

Oooh ... Santana vs Strasburg!

6 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:33 pm

well i've seen strassburg throw one pitch. homerun.

7 monkeypants   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:33 pm

This game has a yicky feeling to it. Hopefully the Yanks pick it up next inning.

8 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:34 pm

[6] Same here! Okay, now more, but that was the first pitch I saw him throw too.

9 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:35 pm

[8] yeah, it would have been better if we both turned the game off after that pitch.

10 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:37 pm

nice job Hughes!

11 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:40 pm

Strasburg looked pretty damn good after the homer though.

12 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:41 pm

make him throw strikes robbie!

13 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:41 pm

according to gameday cano didn't face a single strike.

14 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:43 pm

Give me a f$%$ing break.

15 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:43 pm

Christ, Ted, you are missing a good game, here. Fucking horseshit call.

16 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:44 pm

[13] But with the strike zone today, you can't blame him for swinging at those.

17 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:46 pm

[16] yeah, that makes sense but annoying as frack. then he gets called out looking at a ball. bleh.

18 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:47 pm

Nice to see Jorge standing pat watching that one get caught. 2 outs dude. Run for Mo's sake.

19 tommyl   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:48 pm

Is Barrat even watching this game? Or is he using a random
number generator to make his calls?

20 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:50 pm

Hm, Phil isn't phooling them this inning.

21 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:51 pm

strassburg throwing choppers

22 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:53 pm

uh oh. Tabata has a 3 game career hitting streak on the line today! I wonder what the longest hitting streak to start a career is.

23 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:56 pm

[20] i guess he settled down fortunately.

24 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:56 pm

Adam Dunn.
Remind me why he isn't on our team, please.

25 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 1:56 pm

[23] Yes, phortunately.

26 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:00 pm

ROOK!

27 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:00 pm

they are showing a-rod's linter that hit huff. ouch.

28 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:00 pm

A lot of excitement for an infield single. : )

29 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:07 pm

This is very irritating.

I prefer watching Strasburg. Hey, he walked a guy!

30 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:11 pm

Another walk! Hm.

31 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:15 pm

[30] strassburg? i turned it off for now.

32 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:16 pm

How can we score so many runs (this year), and still have an offense that looks so weak? Yeah, our lineup is dealing with injuries, but still, we seem to choke a lot.

33 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:18 pm

Anyone notice yesterday when Teix intentionally went the other way? Should try it more often.

34 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:18 pm

[31] Yes.
But he struck out the side. Wow.

35 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:18 pm

Robbie makes a boom boom!

36 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:19 pm

RIPPER!!!

or rather RIP-URP

37 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:19 pm

sweet robbie cano!

38 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:19 pm

[33] Except Rob.
Ripper.

39 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:20 pm

[32] I think it feels that way because of expectations.

40 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:28 pm

I'd be more enthusiastic about those 8-pitch walks if I was sure we'd prefer the Astro bullpen to Moehler.

41 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:30 pm

just realized this guy is at 87 pitches

42 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:33 pm

Hey, the Yankees' slugger third baseman comes through again!

43 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:34 pm

sweet! good to see those walks didn't go to waste as i feared.

44 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:34 pm

Okay, I'm gonna watch soccer now. Later. Hold down the fort please, seamus. (Hey, I just remembered that afternoon a couple of years ago when we had to maintain the game thread ourselves...)

45 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:36 pm

[44] that's a lot of pressure but i'll see what i can do. and yeah, i do remember that.

46 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:38 pm

Tabata extends his career hitting streak to 4! anyone know why ajax was pulled in the 1st?

47 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:39 pm

Barrett should go play goalie for England. He's useless back there, too.

48 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:41 pm

[46] They figured Comet would do the job better?

49 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:41 pm

Not good......

50 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:42 pm

ack, what did tex do? damn it.

51 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:43 pm

Sorry... Mattingly was more then a little better. Much better range as well as better arm and better fielder in general.

52 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:43 pm

C'mon, Phil. Get your shit together.

53 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:43 pm

what the heck phil?

54 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:45 pm

Wow.... right in front of his eyes and the ump still missed the call... bails Jeter out.

55 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:45 pm

That'll do.

56 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:45 pm

nice! a couple of times here I've felt bad things coming and Phil has buckled down and gotten the job done.

57 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:46 pm

nats have taken a 4-1 lead. i hope stras goes 2-0.

i missed the homer he gave up earlier...

58 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:46 pm

Jeter has had a number of little problems. Bad judgement there, seems to be slower on the bases, has dropped a few throws.

59 rbj   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:47 pm

Alright, lawn mowed, gutters cleaned, time for a late lunch w/ the Yankees, then clean bathroom & kitchen.

And steak for din-dins.

60 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:50 pm

[46] lower back spasms.

61 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:50 pm

Teix will rock one here.......

62 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:50 pm

[60] thanks

63 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:51 pm

raul beating up wake. philly phinally get a little offense. let's hope they get it all outta their system today, then lie dormant again starting tomorrow!

64 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:52 pm

santana due up 2nd to face stras in this frame.

65 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:54 pm

Can someone tell me what's up with the Phillies? They are only TWO games over .500. WTF? I thought they had a great team.

66 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:55 pm

well, we're into the pen very early.

67 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:56 pm

k, switch to tbs now, folks.

68 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:56 pm

[65] crazy team wide offensive slump, for like 3 weeks now. unreal.

69 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:57 pm

[65] not sure but I know Halladay hasn't been consistently good (despite perfect game). only because he's on my fantasy team.

70 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:57 pm

[67] what's the scoop?

71 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:57 pm

santana "fists" a looper into right. a fitting caray tribute on tbs...

72 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 2:58 pm

[69] he's still been pretty awesome. got roughed up by the shit sox, who seem to rough up everyone right now. ack!

73 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:00 pm

wow. the home plate ump just allowed the nats pitching coach to talk to stras on the mound for an extra extra long time. dude never even walked up to the mound. (well, at least, he wasn't shown in the picture and the meeting went on a while...)

74 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:00 pm

My tbs station info. reads Nats Vs. Indians but is showing news. WTF?

75 rbj   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:01 pm

Four walks for Stras

76 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:01 pm

they've got to fix this damn mound in cleveland. it's awful at the landing spot.

ah, i really really hope he didn't hurt his groin on that last pitch...

77 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:02 pm

[75] the mound is definitely attributable to some of those, esp that last pitch to pronk.

78 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:02 pm

[72] yeah he's been better than i thought now that i've looked at his numbers again.

79 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:03 pm

Phillies leading the Sox 4-1 after 5.
TB and the Fish tied 1-1.

80 rbj   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:04 pm

[77] Yeah. You'd think they'd have a better mound, though listening to the Indians' radio guys earlier it seems both starters were landing in the same spot.

81 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:05 pm

christ. another walk for stras. bases loaded, 1 out. bullpen.

stras to storen.

currently 6-1 nats.

8 k's, 5 bb's, 2 hits, 1 run.

82 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:06 pm

casey daigle is an insanely lucky guy.

83 rbj   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:07 pm

Po-slam!

84 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:07 pm

Make my Salami a double. Word.

85 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:07 pm

Wow, Jorge has racked up RBI huh?

86 rbj   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:08 pm

[84] Just finished lunch, a salami & provolone. Same as yesterday. I may need to make it a daily dish.

87 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:09 pm

whoa, is that back-to-back days w/ granny for po? coolio!

88 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:10 pm

It's the Old weekly update on What Might Have Been:

Damon: .287 .385 .426 .811 - 117 OPS+
Matsui: .260 .336 .434 .770 - 106 OPS+
Melky:: .256 .320 .339 .659 - 78 OPS+
AJax::: .308 .352 .412 .764 - 104 OPS+

89 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:11 pm

holy cow i stepped away and came back to see that Po hit another grand salami! Fracking awesome!

90 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:12 pm

wow, things are going right when you strikeout and still get to first base.

91 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:14 pm

wow. storen's got some nasty himself. strands the bases loaded. still 6-1 for stras.

92 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:14 pm

ok bases loaded. how do we get Po to bat again here?

93 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:14 pm

We need a quick out or Po's slam won't count.

94 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:15 pm

[88] Hideki seems to have rebounded from a slow start some. At least I think so if those are his numbers. Tabata small sample size indeed.

95 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:17 pm

melky made a nice catch today. that's about it though...

96 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:27 pm

one more batter phil

97 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:29 pm

put him away already!

98 rbj   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:29 pm

Gah!

99 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:30 pm

Phuck.

102 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:32 pm

damnit. lost him. 10 pitches to manzella and a 2-run single. wft? that's 109 pitches. 7-3.

oh jesus. joe left him in? now it's 7-5. FUCK!

there goes phil's era, also...

get him outta there already. jeesh. : /

103 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:32 pm

oh crap.

104 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:32 pm

Beware of the 222 and 223 hitters. Bollocks!

105 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:33 pm

damn i really wanted phil's era to go down. we need to win this. marte for the left hander then joba and mo right?

106 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:33 pm

phucking ridiculous. i'm surprised he was left in. i woulda lifted him...

107 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:34 pm

[105] who pitches the 7th?!?!?!

108 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:34 pm

uh oh. i just realized it's only the 6th inning.

109 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:34 pm

[107] see [108]

110 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:35 pm

nice work Marte!

111 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:40 pm

wait a minute. before, phil's era was 2.09, then 1.69. now, all of a sudden it's 7.94?!?!

i'm sure it's just the in-game era being screwed up and it'll correct itself later, but i could really use RI to flip off the soccer and let me know what the hell is going on here!

112 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:42 pm

ooh tex gets a hit!

113 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:42 pm

[111] it's 3.11 now.

114 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:42 pm

[112] an extra base one, at that!

115 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:43 pm

[113] oh, cool. thanks man!

who needs RI anyway? ; )

116 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:43 pm

i hate errors when following on gameday. i have no idea what happened except the third basement fracked up.

117 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:43 pm

[115] not us. hehe

118 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:44 pm

119 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:44 pm

Fish put up a 4 spot in the top of the 6th! 5-1 Fish over TB, bottom of the 6th. Sox still down 4-1 after 7.5.

120 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:44 pm

swish!

got 1 run back. let's get some more...

121 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:45 pm

[119] i'm knocking on wood. Things look hopeful!

122 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:46 pm

Oh, hey!
Okay, fine, I'll go back to soccer. Especially since seamus and thelarmis did such a good job handling things while I was gone.

Hmph.

123 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:46 pm

I HATE when they play in this weather. It's an injury waiting to happen.

124 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:48 pm

miguel cabrera's got 19 homers.

bravos ripping up the twinks. 1-hit, so far...

[122] there ya are! i knew that'd draw you out : )

125 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:49 pm

[122] how's kickball going?

[123] is it pouring, or something?

126 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:51 pm

Po just needs one more runner on base next time so he won't strike out.

127 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:51 pm

[122] [124] nothing like a little taunting to drew them out!

128 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:51 pm

[123] dude the weather is perfect on gameday.

129 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:51 pm

gritner!

now, let's go for double digits!

130 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:52 pm

Huffman is going to find another way to get on first without hitting the ball out of the infield.

131 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:53 pm

time for huffman's 1st rbi

132 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:53 pm

[123] I was watching highlights of a Rockies game in Denver the other night. They played in dumping buckets before FINALLY brining out the tarp and calling it after 5. Makes no sense.

133 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:53 pm

[130] let's hope he doesn't get hit by a pitch...

134 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:53 pm

Yeah, well.
Soccer's kind of one-sided. The Germans are really good.
Now 3-0. (That's like leading 35-0 in football.)

135 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 3:54 pm

is it raining in the bronx? (i'm guessing it is...)

144 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:03 pm

145 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:04 pm

whoa. 8 pitches for pepto. we're thru 7!

send him out to start teh 8th, or no? if so, my [138] would be prescient. nostra-like, cult might say! : )

146 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:05 pm

[145] nostril like? ooh i feel ten again.

147 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:05 pm

[143] shit, thanks for reminding me. i have to get ready to play my gig this evening, too! not for free, though : )

148 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:05 pm

Now 4-0.
Yeah [136], I remarked about the vuvuzelas on Friday. They are B b, thelarmis, in case you're interested.

149 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:06 pm

[147] a;ways have your career on my mind.

150 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:06 pm

[142] HA! lohud chad made the same mistake!

151 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:07 pm

That Lil' G replay is making MY thumb ache.

152 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:08 pm

[148] i don't know whata vuvzela is and not sure i wanna know! are you saying their pitch is b-flat?

[149] at this rate, it won't take up too much of your brain space. : ~

153 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:09 pm

I wonder if any Banterers who were very anti-Gardner in the Spring feel any differently now. He is actually even hitting some balls pretty hard.

154 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:09 pm

troy glaus is hitting like tex should be...

155 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:10 pm

[152] Is b-flat the incessant droning of 20,000 bees?

156 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:10 pm

phitin's made it 5-1 in the 9th. hopefully, that's Lidge-proof, or whomever they have closing these days...

157 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:11 pm

[150] seriously? awesome!

158 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:11 pm

grandy's the only starter today w/out a hit. let's change that, curtis!

[152] They are very annoying horns that provide background noise for every single World Cup match. And yes, their pitch is b-flat, although it's a little wavery and it could possibly be a. (Below middle c.)

160 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:14 pm

[157] yeah. who knows, maybe that's what prompted me to screw it up...

161 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:16 pm

[160] honestly, i think the game is just moving slow. or feels that way. i can't believe Phil struggled so much.

162 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:17 pm

[159] oh yuck. i would hate that.

in your honor, i just struck that Bb on my marimba. it was much more pleasing than a vuvuzela, though that is a really cool name!

163 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:17 pm

[162] i was just thinking that'd be a good band name.

164 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:21 pm

man the astros have used a lot of pitchers today

165 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:22 pm

Yes, 'vuvuzela' is a cool name, but I would much, much rather here a B b on a marimba 250,000 times than the vuvuzelas.
Good, Joba did it. I was a little worried.

Fat Papi just scored on a passed ball.

166 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:25 pm

[164] and 170 pitches. so far...

[165] marimba is soooo beautiful!!! that and the cello are the most aurally pleasing instruments.

167 rbj   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:25 pm

vuvuzelas annoy me all the way to my uvula.

168 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:27 pm

Now Paul Zuvella's on my brain. Don't miss watching him play. : )

169 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:28 pm

170 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:28 pm

[168] nicely played!

171 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:29 pm

And now Joey Joe Joe is going to bring Mo into this slop. Bleh. Well hopefully the Yanks will score a few more and he can sit down.

172 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:30 pm

[171] ugh. is mo warming? we already have a 4-run lead.

is it raining in the bronx???

173 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:32 pm

strasburg = 2-0

174 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:32 pm

[166] and now 19 more pitches to get one out.

175 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:32 pm

[172] They showed him standing in the pen. My brain just jumped to that conclusion. Hopefully we don't see him.

176 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:32 pm

fuck, shit sox scored again. of course. 5-3.

lidge on the ledge...

177 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:32 pm

Red Sox have plated two in the ninth, two outs. Top of the order...

178 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:34 pm

Whew. Fire's out in Fenway.

Now if the Fish can Finish the Cartilaginous Fish...

179 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:34 pm

If Jorge hit a homer last time up and one this time up....well he'd have 4 homers and 14 rbi's. Oh well.

180 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:34 pm

[177] nope that's over. :)

181 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:34 pm

182 seamus   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:34 pm

183 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:35 pm

186 Just Fair   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:37 pm

[179] In the last 2 games. But that's not what I was driving at, anyway. Oy, time for this game to end.

187 thelarmis   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:37 pm

NOW, it should be jorgie's time to bat...

This just in ... the Germans are waaaaay better than the Aussies.

This just in ... his Moliness.

189 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:42 pm

Wow. Not even giving, say, Chad G. a chance to make it a save situation?

190 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:44 pm

Quietly go the Cartilaginous Fish in the eighth.

I smell first place.

191 rbj   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:47 pm

Nicely done, Mo.
And Po.

192 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:48 pm

Thanks be to Mo.

193 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2010 4:49 pm

There is no Mo but Mo.

194 RIYank   ~  Jun 13, 2010 5:32 pm

Welcome to first place, folks!

195 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 13, 2010 8:08 pm

[194] Why do you welcome us to our own house? Is it not our own?

196 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Jun 13, 2010 9:22 pm

Extended family BBQ at home for my mom's 85th b'day. Could only keep an occasional eye on the game. Nice to see the Yankees pick up Phil while he struggled some. Great win, and the time-space continuum has returned to normal as the NY Yankees come home to first place.

197 Diane Firstman   ~  Jun 13, 2010 9:45 pm

Very very interesting goings-on in Chicago tonight .... double doses of nothing going on ...

198 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Jun 13, 2010 9:52 pm

[197] It's failure v futility. It's tough to be a baseball fan in Chicago.

199 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Jun 13, 2010 10:05 pm

Our man Soriano breaks up the no-no for the Pale Hose, and scores the Cubbies first run. Let's see what Lilly does

200 Diane Firstman   ~  Jun 13, 2010 10:17 pm

Juan Pierre ends the drama .... no no-no for Lilly
