Man, is this ever cool.

And while you are at Zell’s Pinstripe Blog, dig this depressing stuff:

That Yankee pastiche would make a nifty poster.

From Lohud:
"There were a lot of questions about the bruise and cut that Tigers slugger Miguel Cabrera had on his face on Sunday but Cabrera wouldn’t talk about it. Now comes word that, according to police, Cabrera was in a fight with his wife early Saturday morning after he came home drunk at 5 a.m."

Ha! I called that one on an earlier thread.
Nice to know that Miggy gets drunk and stays out all night before the most important game of the year. What an asshole!

Emma tweeted a link to an article that stated that Miggy's BAC was 3 times the legal limit!

[2] Even better...the reason he was drunk was he was out partying with members of the CHICAGO WHITESOX, the same team in the process of knocking his team out of first place. Also worth noting is Cabrera was 0-11 over the weekend.

[2] [4] Its a very sad story all around.

[3] That's just crazy, as Emma said - that's a lot of alcohol for a guy of Cabrera's size.

I can understand celebrating a division title - and I could certainly understand celebrating a Serious title with that much drink - but to get that drunk on a Friday night, after a loss, with the playoffs not guaranteed? That I don't get.

for all his offensive brilliance, and he is brilliant, I think Cabrera has safely entered into "it's always something" territory

For some reason, those Billy's Back covers used to kill me when I was a kid. I thought I was the only one smart enough to be in on the joke. Not only is he back, but they're showing his back. Hardy har-har. Oy.

I remember most of them. Didn't realize how many there were.

Thought that the article on Mo was strong. Like him as a person. Always loved him as a player. Has a little mensch in him too.

Just a question. Who was the first pitcher to be introduced with music? Sparky came in with Pomp and Circumstance.
