Last word on Matsui. Sorry, this is off topic, but Robert Whitting (Ya Gotta Have Wa...and many more), who I have bent elbows with, wrote a neat little piece on Godzilla for the Number 1 Shimbun, the rag of the Foreign Correspondents' Club of Japan. [4] I've been thinking lately how much I'm going to miss Mastui-san on the squad. That was a nice piece. The only piece of Yankee memorabilia (besides a signed Mariano jersey) I have is a signed photo of Matsui. After the World Series, I displayed it prominently in my living room.
His photo helps me remember that you can aspire to greatness and achieve, much like he did to become the MVP of the Serious.
Love the painting and The Strand. I graduated from Parsons right around the corner and loosing track of time at the Strand was one of my favorite pastimes.
cool - i really like this piece.

[2] Love Roxy Music! "In Every Dream Home, A Heartache..." from their second album "For Your Pleasure" I think..? An all-time classic.

I'm curious about one thing. The pedestrian has short sleeves on a sunny day, so where are the carts of books on the sidewalk.
