Does anyone feel like they're watching a World Series? I don't know how to word it exactly, but I watched almost all of games one and two, forgot about game three until the 7th inning (and think about that), and have no intention of watching game four tonight. Its just been a very lame, boring World Series. Its just a bunch of games.

Nah, I'll be watching tonight. Cablevision and Fox finally settled! LOL. No more radio for me.

And I think the Rangers will romp tonight and then most everyone might check out the Lee-Lincecum rematch tomorrow.

I'm watching. As tempting as Saints-Steelers and Ghost Hunters live at the Buffalo terminal are, it's the World Series.

Gonna be a long, cold winter after this. I'm watching all the baseball I can get.

Yup, Rangers almost had a bad break go their way. Dude, Tommy Hunter is such a piece of MEAT.

Got to imagine Vladi is gunna go deep sometimes soon.

What's going on with this strike zone tonight?

Nice play by Hamilton to end that last inning.

Wow...Rick Sutcliffe was a great pitcher but man, he may be the single worst color-guy announcer in history..he's got the occasional inside analysis on what a pitcher is doing, but everything else is cliche and corn-on-the-cob humor..

Some great D in this game! Freddie Sanchez!!

Ruh-roh.

Wait, I think Huff's dinger just landed.

Holy crap, what a bomb.

Hunter can't stay in much longer..

11 thelarmis   ~  Oct 31, 2010 9:45 pm

hunter's lucky to have only given up 2 runs (thus far)...

Oops [12] is for [9]

14 thelarmis   ~  Oct 31, 2010 9:48 pm

pocketful 'o posey!

15 thelarmis   ~  Oct 31, 2010 9:52 pm

i'm really against this extra wild card team. bud seems full steam ahead with it. i mean, i guess i'll dig it if the yankees backdoor it and win the whole shebang; but in general, i think 8 teams is fine. i just know that if it was setup that way this season, the shit sox would be playing - and winning - right now. that would be just awful.

16 thelarmis   ~  Oct 31, 2010 9:54 pm

i just posted something about this expanded postseason bollocks and my comment is awaiting moderation. what in the fuck is that all about? is bud reading the banter??? i didn't curse as much as i normally do and i didn't include a link. what gives???

16) No, we've been flooded with Spam lately and it is taking some regular commenter's comments and putting them in moderation. Sorry for the hassle.

[17] acha! oh, no worries! : )

hey alex - what's your take on the name "Madison Bumgarner"? i don't like it myself, but i'd be curious to hear your spin on it. i loved how you said "Fausto Carmona" sounded like a heavyweight champion.

19 randym77   ~  Oct 31, 2010 10:26 pm

Madison Bumbarner is such a weird name it's hard to believe it's real.

20 Alex Belth   ~  Oct 31, 2010 10:28 pm

18) Sounds like a British drag queen/porn star.

21 thelarmis   ~  Oct 31, 2010 10:30 pm

cool. we're all in agreement. yeah, it's quite an unfortunate name. he's kickin' some major arse though!

22 thelarmis   ~  Oct 31, 2010 10:33 pm

that's a big run right there.

23 Alex Belth   ~  Oct 31, 2010 10:36 pm

Yikes, this "God Bless America" is painful.

24 randym77   ~  Oct 31, 2010 10:36 pm

I wonder what his nickname in the clubhouse is. Maddy? Bummy?

25 randym77   ~  Oct 31, 2010 10:38 pm

[23] I kinda liked it. Well, as much as I ever like that song.

26 thelarmis   ~  Oct 31, 2010 10:42 pm

[24] bummer?

27 thelarmis   ~  Oct 31, 2010 10:44 pm

E5

28 Yankee Mama   ~  Oct 31, 2010 10:59 pm

That dinger carried.

29 randym77   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:00 pm

So, I guess this Posey kid is pretty good.

30 Alex Belth   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:01 pm

Holy Buster.

31 Chyll Will   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:01 pm

[26] Good thing he's not a cricketer, or they'd have a really sorry nickname for him...

32 Yankee Mama   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:01 pm

[29] A phenom as defined by specialists.

33 thelarmis   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:12 pm

is this the youngest battery in WS history?

34 thelarmis   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:13 pm

that was a sweet hook.

35 randym77   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:19 pm

Bummy at 106 pitches.

They're not going to let him pitch the 9th, are they?

36 Chyll Will   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:20 pm

[33] From Jayson Stark:

"Madison Bumgarner won't be youngest pitcher in WS history to throw 8+ ShO IP. Jim Palmer was 100 days younger when he blanked LA in '66 [via Twitter]"

37 thelarmis   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:20 pm

[35] doubt it. the beards were warming up. kid pitched the game of his life. not such a bum after all!

38 Chyll Will   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:21 pm

[36] So there's that, but we await confirmation on your real question...

39 randym77   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:27 pm

The Beach Boy is coming in for Bumgarner.

40 Yankee Mama   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:29 pm

We weren't as lucky with Andrus.

41 Chyll Will   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:30 pm

[33] From MLB.com:

At a combined 44 years, the Giants' Game 4 battery will become the second youngest pitcher-catcher combination in World Series history, behind Jim Palmer and Andy Etchebarren, who were a combined 43 years old when they teamed up in Game 2 of the 1966 World Series for the Baltimore Orioles.

42 randym77   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:32 pm

Struck out Hamilton on 3 pitches. The future AL MVP is 0 for 4 tonight.

43 thelarmis   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:36 pm

[41] awesome. thanks, chyll!

44 Chyll Will   ~  Oct 31, 2010 11:41 pm

[43] No problem, I like trivia (except when it impedes progress >;)
