There has been some talk about Jorge de la Rosa, who has shown a lot of improvement over the last 3 years. However, while talented, he comes with a lot of warning signs.

In reading a blog post about him, the author offered an interesting alternative.

Someone who is also a talented underachiever.
Someone, who compared Jorge de la Rosa:
... has a far, far better career ERA+
... has better BB/9 numbers
... has better SO/9 numbers
... has better HR/9 numbers
... has a better career WHIP
... who is younbg and has only pitched in the AL
... who is cheap and available.

Wow. I'm excited! So.... who is this guy?
Ummm... someone with a funny name.
Ummm... Moby Something....
No no....
Ummm....
Jobie something.... ?
Ummm...
Joba something?

[1] I agree with you, man. I think it's not too late to solve Joba's pitching problems which I believe are Torre/Girardi/Eiland related to begin with. At least let the new pitching coach try to do something with him before you cast him to the fates. I mostly blame the Yanks hierarchy for Joba's downfall, but tossing him away like so many people are chanting for would be an even bigger mistake.
