1 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:11 pm

Jesus, can't we even find our seats, first?

2 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:11 pm

There's a great fuggin way to start the game.

3 Diane Firstman   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:13 pm

That wasn't THAT bad a pitch //// Ellsbury reached out and pulled that into the seats

4 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:14 pm

[3] No, it wasn't.

Oh, fuck.

5 The Hawk   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:15 pm

Garcia seems to stink

6 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:15 pm

Christ, three fucking runs, just like that.

7 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:16 pm

[5] He's going to get it together.

8 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:16 pm

Omg, Ortiz is hitting .325?

Fuck.

9 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:18 pm

Howdy everybody, just a little bit late, here ... let me adjust my seat and pull up the game on my ... SONOFABITCH ... 3-0, already?!?!?

Meh.

10 The Hawk   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:18 pm

I honestly think giving up 3 runs in the top of the first in this game is complete bullshit. Irritated right now.

11 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:20 pm

3) It's that bad when it's going 36 miles per hour.

12 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:20 pm

10) Especially with Lester going. But then again, this is Freddy Garcia.

13 Diane Firstman   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:20 pm

[11]

true!

14 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:21 pm

I missed every inning of the last series between these Modamn fuckers. I am already sorry I have to watch. Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

15 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:23 pm

Jesus, what a sick hook.

16 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:24 pm

13) It reminded me of a whiffle ball pitch, the kind hitters must drool over, especially when Garcia just doesn't throw hard enough to make you worry about the fastball.

Nice walk Curtis!

17 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:24 pm

Good work, Curtis.

18 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:26 pm

Oww, fuck, he's in agony.

19 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:26 pm

Uh oh. Please don't be serious, please don't be serious, please don't be serious...

20 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:26 pm

You've got to be fucking kidding me.

C'mon Teix, get up and be okay.

21 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:26 pm

Holy fuggin ouch.

22 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:26 pm

Fucking hell, that must kill.

23 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:27 pm

Three run jack right here.

24 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:27 pm

In the meantime, this could be devastating...

25 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:27 pm

Jesus, it hurts just watching him.

26 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:28 pm

Well, at least it seemed like he was able to gingerly limp down the stairs to the tunnel.

Hopefully just a nasty bruise.

Please?

27 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:29 pm

So now he have Jorgie playing first and batting cleanup, already down three runs with Lester on the mound.

Most inauspicious.

28 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:29 pm

Third, not cleanup, of course.

29 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:30 pm

Man, the only thing that saved the inning was Alex hit such a chump grounder.

C'mon Robbie, cash one in.

30 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:30 pm

Oh, plus, he's hitless (still, isn't he?) from the right side.

31 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:30 pm

Fuck Jon Lester.

32 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:31 pm

30) I was just about the write that when Alex hit that weak grounder...always a good time for a first!

33 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:31 pm

Be nice if Robbie lined one back through the box off Lester's knee cap.

34 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:33 pm

Robbie a little late on that fastball but he wasn't fooled. I doubt he'll see another one here.

35 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:33 pm

He got another one. What do I know?

36 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:33 pm

Lester has got to go with something off speed, no?

37 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:34 pm

[33] Hahahah!! Nice!

38 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:34 pm

Good eye, Robbie! Does he stay soft on 3-2? I'd guess yes. Or a heater up out of the zone.

39 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:35 pm

YESSS!!!

[36] He did, and Robbie was on it!

40 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:35 pm

Wonderful job by Robbie. The curve wasn't great, hung up too much, but nice job.

41 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:35 pm

Kept the hands back!

42 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:35 pm

Well that's something. Good work, Robbie! Eat a big bag of dog shit, Lester.

43 Diane Firstman   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:36 pm

surprised Ellsbury didn't dive .... maybe misjudged it

44 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:37 pm

GO FUCK YOURSELF YOU FUCKING ASSHOLE!

45 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:37 pm

Again!

Knock fucking Ortiz on his ass.

46 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:38 pm

Can't let them off the hook, man. Must tie the fucking game, here.

47 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:38 pm

Hey, Swish, DUCKS ON THE POND!

48 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:38 pm

[43] I did think he was going to be much closer...it did look like he took a funny route, circling around it or something.

49 Diane Firstman   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:38 pm

You know ... its not like he is head-hunting ... he doesn't have command of that pitch ...

50 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:38 pm

CHICKENS IN THE YARD!

51 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:38 pm

Yeah, he wasn't trying to hit those guys.

52 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:39 pm

DAMN, that 1-0 pitch was fat!

53 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:39 pm

Swisher is screwed now.

54 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:40 pm

Cutter inside or breaking ball away?

55 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:41 pm

Oh BABY, just missed outside. That looked close. I say he comes inside now.

56 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:41 pm

[49] [51] I know, but still.

57 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:41 pm

Damn it.

58 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:41 pm

Fuck. That was a nice pick.

59 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:42 pm

56) Yeah, I'm with you. Problem is, Freddy couldn't give a guy a headache if he beaned him in the noggin.

60 Start Spreading the News   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:42 pm

Am at the game. Any word on Tex? Was he hit on the knee or ankle? Please post any news.

Terrible speed by swisher on that groundout

61 The Hawk   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:43 pm

Nick is TIGHT! You can SEE it.

62 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:44 pm

60) It certainly wasn't the ankle. It was the knee. Exactly where on the knee I don't know, but I'm guessing it was flush on the knee cap. X Rays to come...

63 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:45 pm

Oof, just watching Jorge reach down for that ball is already making me miss Teix.

64 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:47 pm

Freddy has absolutely nothing. This game is going to last forever but for Freddy it's going to finished sooner rather than later.

65 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:47 pm

Fat Freddy's got fuck all tonite ...

Sooner rather than later, please, Joey Joe Joe.

66 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:47 pm

[64] Heh.

=)

67 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:47 pm

[59] Heehee. Reminds me of what's his name, on the Mets, who tried to bean Clemens and missed. Was it Estes, I think? He MISSED!

Like in "Deadwood" when Trixie goes to shoot Hearst and all she does is put hit him in the arm, as feckless as can be.

Asked what he had in mind for Clemens, Estes replied, "I was just trying to make a pitch."

God, what a circus those days were.

68 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:51 pm

Good work, Freddie. One more...

69 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:53 pm

Fuckfuckfuckfuck.

70 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:54 pm

[65] Wow, you got your wish!

71 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:54 pm

Thank You.

72 rbj   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:55 pm

Long game tonight. And waiting on the word about Teix is just going to make it seem longer.

73 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:57 pm

[72] The world's lousy.

74 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:57 pm

Schilling, far and away. No fucking contest.

75 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:59 pm

Fugly's going to hit it out.

Oh, pfew. Or not, thank god.

76 The Hawk   ~  Jun 7, 2011 7:59 pm

I really hate when the pitcher just shits the bed right away. Especially coming off an off day, rivalry game, you're all pumped up etc. It drives me nuts.

77 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:00 pm

I don't care if they lose 19-2 tonight so long as Teix isn't gone for the year.

78 The Hawk   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:02 pm

I'll be your best friend if you start spelling it "Tex". You're in a position to influence people and this is important.

79 rbj   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:02 pm

[77] Yup.

80 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:04 pm

[78] Hahahahah!! For real? "Teix" bothers you?

That's hilarious.

81 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:05 pm

Agreed, losing Teix would be a big blow. I'm just hopeful at the fact he was gimping off under his own power once he got to the dugout.

82 Diane Firstman   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:05 pm

Getting ahead of myself here ... if Teix goes on DL for 15 days ... promote Montero, move Swish or Posada to 1B?

83 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:07 pm

Oh, hey, nice break.

84 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:07 pm

Lucky 13

85 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:08 pm

82) Got to be Swish.

86 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:08 pm

[82] Was thinking that myself.

Montero's pick a bad year to be mediocre (by his standards).

If teh Jesus was hitting the ball like he was at the end of last year, it'd be an easy call.

87 Diane Firstman   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:11 pm

[86]

true ... he's 2x his K rate and 1/2 his walk rate, and slugging .416

88 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:14 pm

That was lucky.

89 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:17 pm

Shades of a young Bernie Williams...poor jump but the speed to catch up to it. LOL

90 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:17 pm

Curtis is really good out there.

91 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:17 pm

[89] Omg, I was just thinking about Bernie!

92 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:18 pm

I'm late. What happeend to Teix??!?!?!?!

Lester 53 pitches after 2, they HAVE to knock him out early..

93 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:23 pm

Pfew! X-rays, negative, day-to-day.

94 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:24 pm

We could have called the Posada hit!

95 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:24 pm

I just have to say, I admire Teix's make up. I know "OW" isn't the 1st thing I'd be yelling if I got hit like that.

CLETUS!!!

96 Diane Firstman   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:24 pm

They should keep the ball for posterity ...

97 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:24 pm

[32] Hey, Alex, there you go!

98 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:24 pm

C'MON ALEX!

99 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:24 pm

[96] Hahahahahah!

100 rbj   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:24 pm

Jorge's allowed to get hits from the right side? Good news on Teix.

Damn it.

Damn it.

102 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:27 pm

Aggggh, cocksucker.

103 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:28 pm

Horse. Shit.

104 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:28 pm

Three loud outs, bad luck inning. Lester can be had.

105 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:28 pm

Aggggh, cocksucker.

106 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:28 pm

Fuck, we are really not getting any breaks.

107 rbj   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:28 pm

Can't believe we wasted a Jorge hit.

108 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:29 pm

[104] He's given up a LOT of home runs this year. Yanks also always makeit hard for D.Bard. I am confident!

109 Diane Firstman   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:30 pm

Fee-at?

110 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:31 pm

Andy!!!

111 rbj   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:31 pm

This is no easy game to watch.

112 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:35 pm

Wow.

Now I hate My Little Pony even more ...

113 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:36 pm

I love that Leiter says "and also too," just like Sarah Palin.

114 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:37 pm

O'Neill constantly cracks me up.

115 Diane Firstman   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:37 pm

[113]

Similarly, Leiter can quote ... "The Midnight Ride of Paul O'Neill"

116 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:37 pm

He's out!

117 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:37 pm

Best Martin throw of the year.

118 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:37 pm

Coltrane!

119 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:38 pm

Take that, Taco!

120 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:38 pm

If only Snozzberry had broken his ankle. Man, these games get me irritated.

121 The Hawk   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:38 pm

[80] If you pronounce it "Tesh" then go ahead and spell it "Teix". I think that's fair.

122 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:40 pm

[121] Please, no. "Tesh" makes me think of New-Age-Christian-Rocker-ET host John Tesh..

123 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:42 pm

[121] laughing.

Understood.

124 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:46 pm

Captain!

125 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:46 pm

Derek!!!

Nice hit!

126 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:46 pm

12!

127 The Hawk   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:47 pm

[122] Ahaha no no, I'm not advocating anyone call him that!

128 rbj   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:49 pm

Mattingly was a captain too, Al.

129 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:51 pm

sigh

130 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:52 pm

[127] Too late, my friend. He's Tesh to me now! :)

131 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:53 pm

Letting this a hole off the hook all night, dammit.

132 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:54 pm

[127][130] A local lady I was once trying to befriend told me she had a great live dvd to loan me, since I was such a music fan..it was John Tesh Live at Red Rocks. Obviously, she did not become Mrs. Jazz.

This game has grown tiresome already..more coffee..

133 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:56 pm

Strikes, dammit, throw STRIKES.

134 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:58 pm

[133] Maybe he was better off throwing balls ...

Blergh.

135 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 7, 2011 8:59 pm

Game 4 start yet in Dallas?

136 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:01 pm

Brutal.

137 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:03 pm

Hahahahahah!!!!

Hahahahahahah!!!!!!!

138 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:04 pm

Wow ... an infield hit for JoPo!

139 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:04 pm

Two run Jack let's see it!

140 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:04 pm

He's dogging it out there, Scutaro.

141 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:04 pm

Jesus, Alex, you fucktard.

142 cult of basebaal   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:05 pm

[141] Indeed.

C'mon Alex.

143 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:05 pm

Way to fight it off.

144 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:06 pm

That was a sick hook.

145 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:06 pm

Damn it.

He's not overwhelming, everyone's just slightly off-balance.

146 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:07 pm

What's worse than the Yanks horseshit pitching is that they got Lester on an off night and they've had shitty luck...Youk makes a great play in the first, Lester comes up with a big pitch in the fourth against Curtis. Motherfucker.

147 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:09 pm

Another "potential" rally. A FUCKING RUN SCORING HIT PLEASE!

148 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:11 pm

YYAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY!!!!

149 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:11 pm

FUCK YES

150 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:11 pm

Atta boy, Swish!

151 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:12 pm

Can't believe Scutaro let Jorgie reach first.

152 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:13 pm

[151] Incredible. Could be key point in the game.
When Swish hits this lineup is just so relentless!

153 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:14 pm

There are ABs where I wish Andruw would NOT try to hit the ball out of the universe.

154 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:15 pm

DAMN

155 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:17 pm

Michael Kay gives me a headache

ロービカノー アイラブユー!

158 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:22 pm

So I missed the beginning of the game. What happened to Garcia?

159 jfdrums   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:22 pm

Noesi is one horrible pitch from a really great outing.
A run or two here would be huge, lets get in the pen.

160 The Hawk   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:24 pm

[155] I don't wish ill on the guy but I wish he would just go away.

161 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:26 pm

Did Nunez and Jeter swing at ball 4?

162 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:28 pm

Lester gets kudos. Was off but good enough.

163 Marek   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:33 pm

Geez, I thought Youk was ugly. Looks like the Sox cornered the market when they got A-Gon too.

164 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:37 pm

Best comeback of the year. Starts...NOW

165 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:38 pm

Take it to Jenks, please.

166 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:39 pm

Bobby Jenks is hungry

167 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:40 pm

That's not what I had in mind, but whatever.

168 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:40 pm

Watching game with no sound here..what happend? Elbow?

169 Marek   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:42 pm

Teix for Jenks is not a fair trade, we still owe them one.

170 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:46 pm

Steal home, Jorge. From first! You can do it.

171 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:48 pm

Wow. Missed Papelbon's freak out. What a douche.

172 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:49 pm

ARod swung at Ball 4?

173 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:50 pm

Every time I hear "a little tail" I think of Suzyn Waldman insisting that Kyle Farnsworth didn't throw a pin straight fastball.

174 Marek   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:53 pm

Ugh. Et tu, Robbie?

175 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 7, 2011 9:55 pm

Didn't the pitcher throw at Bryce Harper earlier in the game?

176 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:13 pm

Robinson Cano, ladies and gentlemen.

177 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:13 pm

Efff U, Ellsbury.

178 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:20 pm

It's as good as a hit! Just don't "#$%&'( try to steal, Brett!

179 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:20 pm

Walk. Bloop. Bloop. Blast. Piece o' cake.

180 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:20 pm

Got to bring that tying run to the plate. Good start for Gardner.

181 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:21 pm

Might not be a bad idea to start the runner here

182 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:21 pm

The Yanks may well lose this game BUT I feel like they are going to win.

183 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:22 pm

[182] Something about that sentence made me smile.

Riverdance can't find the plate!!! Take, Derek! Take all the way!!

184 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:22 pm

Oh please, please.

185 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:22 pm

Jeter WHAT ARE YOU SWINGING AT?!?!?

186 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:22 pm

Well that was ball 4.

187 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:23 pm

Damn. That was ball four.

188 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:23 pm

Yard.

189 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:25 pm

Man, that 0-2 was close but too high.

190 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:25 pm

Jeter forgets he's a shitty hitter and swings at a terrible Ball 4 pitch.

191 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:26 pm

Well, my prediction powers are for shit tonight.

192 OldYanksFan   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:26 pm

Well.... who needs 2 men on with 3 HR hitters follwoing.

193 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:27 pm

Keep it alive, Jorge!

194 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:27 pm

Is this a good time to note that if we had just skipped Nova on Friday, the Red Sox wouldn't have gotten a chance to see Freddy's slop again?

195 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:28 pm

Just get on base, anyway you can, Jorge...

196 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:28 pm

Okay, 3-1....

197 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:29 pm

Full count. He's going back to 96 cheese up and away...

198 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:29 pm

LIFE

199 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:30 pm

I'm a weenie..but not feeling confident in A-Rod here..

202 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:31 pm

FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK.

Great swing. Just missed. FFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUCK.

203 The Hawk   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:31 pm

A Rod - you are more likely to be the hero if you don't TRY to be the hero so hard. Aw shit you've heard this a miliion times.

204 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:31 pm

Alex has just missed 2 times this game. C'mon, baby!

205 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:31 pm

Now he looks at another right down the middle. He's all messed up tonight.

206 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:32 pm

He should have hit that last pitch 500 feet.

207 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:32 pm

Let it hit ya!

208 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:33 pm

Way to lay off. Now sit dead red, son!

209 Just Fair   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:33 pm

In-fucking-furiating.

210 The Hawk   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:34 pm

A Rod was mad after every at bat tonight I think

211 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:34 pm

First pitch was the best one.

212 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:34 pm

Sigh.

Not the worst loss in the world, at least.

I can live with this one.

213 The Hawk   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:35 pm

A few positives tonight: Posada, Noesi, even Jeter.

But at some point I'm gonna need the Yankees to beat the Red Sox at MOTHER****ING YANKEE STADIUM

214 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:37 pm

[212] I see what you mean, but actually I feel the opposite. Lester was not "on". They had chances against Albers and Papelbon. AWFUL swing by Jeter on Ball 4 and A-Rod missing one makes it painful. They could have had this one.

And Riverdance celebrating like he's Bob Gibson is infuriating, you let the tying run come to the plate, A-hole!

215 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:37 pm

I think the good part is this...Sox win early. Yanks win late. It can't get much worse.

216 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:37 pm

214) A Rod was so on that first pitch at first I thought he lined it into right field.

217 Mattpat11   ~  Jun 7, 2011 10:57 pm

So why didn't AJ Burnett start this game?

218 a.O   ~  Jun 8, 2011 12:20 am

Some Shit Sox need to get plunked tomorrow. That is all.
