Hot as Hades here. Nothing like lying on the couch on a hot Sunday afternoon, watching the Yankees.

Hi rbj.
Hot but beautiful here. Probably like Toronto.

Phil looks good, huh?

3 RIYank   ~  Jul 17, 2011 1:33 pm

Not quite so good.
Anyway it's a very good bet we'll need more than a couple bullpen innings.

That type of stolen base should never happen. That's JV horseshit.

Hey, Jorgie. You could have simply stepped on the bag. Madness!

Hits with RISP! I approve.

7 RIYank   ~  Jul 17, 2011 2:26 pm

Come on, Phil!

8 Alex Belth   ~  Jul 17, 2011 2:32 pm

So Phil's made it through four. Hope he's got 6 more outs in him.

9 RIYank   ~  Jul 17, 2011 2:40 pm

[8] Looks like he's getting stronger.

Way to go Hughesie.

Sweet single by Tex. Thought that was a DP al the way. Dude, not for nothing but .240 isn't going to cut it for Tex. Especially with Alex out. The man has to catch fire.

I was watching soccer -- why did Joe pull Phil?

13 Just Fair   ~  Jul 17, 2011 3:16 pm

[12] My thought exactly. He was only at 80 pitches or so.

14 rbj   ~  Jul 17, 2011 3:18 pm

[12] Because he's a chessmaster and has to do it?

15 RIYank   ~  Jul 17, 2011 3:19 pm

Ah.
[14] Are you watching the soccer? Our women keep knocking on the door...

16 rbj   ~  Jul 17, 2011 3:22 pm

[15] Switching back and forth. US just missed with a header.

17 RIYank   ~  Jul 17, 2011 3:28 pm

D-Rob, my man.

What is the concensus on Phil's outing?

19 rbj   ~  Jul 17, 2011 3:31 pm

[18] Good.

20 RIYank   ~  Jul 17, 2011 3:41 pm

Seems like Brett is getting the hang of the SB thing.

21 Alex Belth   ~  Jul 17, 2011 3:43 pm

20) The man is really clicking right now.

22 rbj   ~  Jul 17, 2011 3:43 pm

Yes, Curtis.

23 RIYank   ~  Jul 17, 2011 3:50 pm

Oh Boone Logan. Good, this should be effective. Might get to see Mo!

24 RIYank   ~  Jul 17, 2011 3:53 pm

Huh. Boone!

25 RIYank   ~  Jul 17, 2011 3:58 pm

Wow!
I liked that guy much better than that other Boone Logan we used to have.

26 rbj   ~  Jul 17, 2011 3:59 pm

It's a day when even Boone Logan worked out. I was frustrated after the first two games, but much better now.

Time for soccer, and while I'll root for the US, I couldn't be upset if Japan wins.

27 rbj   ~  Jul 17, 2011 4:06 pm

Oh, just missed. Good save by Japan.

Score!
