Going to the movies in a snowstorm? Now, that’s a good idea. I saw “The Color of Money” during a blizzard. What movies have you seen in the theater when it was snowing outside?

Wow, great question. I saw Scrooged in the snow I think.

There was also a time when I lived on 30th st, near the Kips Bay theater. And I could walk there. And I have memories of trudging to the theater in the snow because it was so close. Don't remember what I saw there, just that the theater was mostly empty and it was a blast.

Love an empty theater.

saw The English Patient in Syracuse (Siberiacuse) during the holdays and it snowed pretty hard that night.
Also on the Ralph Finnes tip, it didn't snow when I saw Schindler's List, but it was one of the coldest days of the year. I remember how cold it was, walking home in silence to my apartment on the Upper East. My face froze and I remember hearing the wind howling outside my hood. I remember thinking I was glad to be alone because I couldn't talk after that movie, and didn't want to for a little while.

One of the Star Treks, back in the '80s. Maybe the first one. We were waiting in line for awhile. After the movie, I did donuts in the empty mall parking lot in my Pontiac LeMans. Slipping and sliding all over the place in a good 8 inches. What a kick!
