Omg, I LOVE this!

Thanks, Alex!

I went off to college in Iowa (from Yonkers) and I will never forget the first "bagel" I ate there. It was an abomination in the sight of god and men.

Other cities proclaim to have the best of other food - the pizza, the cheesesteak, BBQ.

...but NOBODY does bagels like New York!

6) Dudes from Montreal would have beef with that statement, though to me it's apples and oranges.

Mr. Jazz claims there's a place in Tokyo that has "decent" bagels. I don't buy it. Unfortunately, his joint is too far off my beaten path to make a special trip.

I still miss East Side Bagels at 78th and 1st, near my sis' place.

Gimme a salt bagel with the schmear.
