Yankees considering one-day contract for Matsui to appear in a farewell at the Stadium.
Japanese paper (Hochi) quoted an unnamed source with the above.
And the Pinstripe Bowl is on later. Not that I want to watch mediocre college football, but at least I'll get to see Yankee Stadium for the only time until April.
[3] Cool, I hope they do it. [4] I'll watch the Rose Bowl and the national championship. Otherwise fuggidaboutit.
Settling in for what I'm expecting to be a real wallop of snow here in southern New England. Mainly overnight. Hoping my neighbor has pity on me in the morning and comes by with his Bobcat...
[5] Five loss Wisconsin team? Yuck. I'll watch some paint dry.
Hope you're all stocked up on bread and toilet paper (and adult beverages). Driving back from Virginia to Toledo on Thursday, I got to see all sorts of vehicles that had skidded off the roads the day before. Stay put and stay safe.
We were in the storm. In Pennsylvania it was serious, but not a blizzard -- lots of spin-outs, though. By northern Jersey it was really just rain, and then light snow up in New England.
Great choice.
Nice for a snowy day in the city.

[6] But they have a fun team to watch (and I have a Badger connection).
Hey, I drove back from W. Va. to R.I. on Wednesday. It was the worst drive of my life. (Just because so slow -- I was never in danger, personally.)
[7] Ah. makes sense then. I have a kind of rooting interest for South Carolina as I used to work there. Plus I'll be Twilight Zoned out by then.
Were you just ahead of the storm or right in the midst?
