"A New York Treasure" --Village Voice

New York Minute

I saw this dude on my subway ride to work today and asked if I could photograph his arms. He’s a Brit but has a deep love for New York.

I asked him why Lou Gehrig and he said, “Why not?”

Good enough, right? He was a shy kid, wasn’t talkative and that’s cool. I’m thankful he let me admire his devotion to New York.

I'm not into tattoos. But yeah, Gehrig, why not?

Crazy, right? I think I'm one of the few people my age who doesn't have a tattoo. Even the straight-laced kids got them. I did have my nose pierced in my 20s but that was a fad that came and went.

He's gonna have a helluva time when he moves onto Portland and tries to get that Ewing tat converted to Clyde Drexler.

interesting looking ones - the artist captured how ewing used to cock his arm back very well, but i also don't get it. [3] i think i'm a few years younger than you and feel the same way. so many women have tattoos too, or they swoon over guys with tats.
to each his own but not my taste.

5) I never could figure something I wanted to put on my body forever to do it. But I was never impulsive with that kind of thing even in my teens and 20s.
