Being a "regular" is always a thrill. Remember working as during college summers, stopping by the same diner for coffee and toast; after about 3 days, the waitress would say "you havin' the regular?"

Speaking of "regular" when I ordered coffee in NY back in the 60's, if you wanted it "regular" that meant cream and sugar. Still have the same meaning?

Maybe, maybe not; I'm willing to bet outside of older generations and long time customers at certain establishments, Starbucks has thoroughly spoiled that dynamic.
