S’Long Sori

Our man Soriano is hanging up his spikes.

He was an appealing player. Great-looking guy and had a nice career.

Fun player in the regular season. Exasperating to watch in the post season. I still remember him swinging at Pedro's pitches which were a mile down and away.

That said, he is the only member of the 40-40-40 club which is impressive.

the strikeouts could be maddening, but damn he was fun to watch between 2001 and 2003

If Brosius turned the DP in Arizona before that bleeder, Soriano might have been a Yankee legend.

He looks so much like a young hammerin' Hank. Fun player, and I was sorry that the Yanks traded Sori.

In other news ARod, who was acquired for Sori, just can't help but make headlines. Ugh! So he actually did PED's! He had me convinced that he was innocent.

I loved Sori!

Really wish he stole 11 more bases...

Do you remember how electrifying he was when he came up? His bat speed, his foot speed...and he almost won 2001 for us golfing that ball out of the dirt.

So long, Sori.
