Will miss it. Going to the Mud Hens tonight. Currently 73°F.

Warren can pitch but he takes too long and resists strike one. Speed up, and work ahead.

Ugh. It's so depressing to be in a dome. And I'm not even in the dome.

20 Alex Belth   ~  Apr 17, 2015 6:51 pm

Man, that was some shot by Alex. Two of his three homers have been bombs. Crazy.

Decent start by Warren...

21 thelarmis   ~  Apr 17, 2015 6:56 pm

alex crushed it 471 feet!

22 thelarmis   ~  Apr 17, 2015 6:58 pm

Beli looks weak... : (

23 thelarmis   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:04 pm

nice job, adam.

24 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:08 pm

Omg, that 0-1 to Alex was NOT a strike!

25 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:09 pm

Damon. Finally saw it. Quite the shot.

26 coleman42   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:11 pm

Way to go, Stephen! Ties Arod at 3hRs.

27 thelarmis   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:12 pm

29 thelarmis   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:19 pm

[24] agreed.

30 thelarmis   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:19 pm

shocking!

wow. dodo sucks at baseball.

i miss shane greene...

31 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:20 pm

I think you can count the good at bats Gregorius has had on one hand.

32 thelarmis   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:23 pm

nice k.

33 thelarmis   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:24 pm

[31] one digit, more like it.

i'm really fed up with him already. i had been open to him being on the team. completely over it now...

34 thelarmis   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:25 pm

almost a nice play...

35 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:26 pm

[33] He seems like a good guy and I want to see him succeed, but damn, show me *something*

36 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:29 pm

37 thelarmis   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:30 pm

40 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:31 pm

[35] Agreed.

43 thelarmis   ~  Apr 17, 2015 7:43 pm

44 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:08 pm

Alex en FUEGO!!!

45 coleman42   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:08 pm

YES

46 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:08 pm

Man, talk about carrying a team.

God.

Ok, top priority: KEEP ALEX HEALTHY!

Like, maybe even call it a day for him now.

47 thelarmis   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:09 pm

WOW!!!

48 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:09 pm

Hot damn!

49 coleman42   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:10 pm

I was just about to go to bed, thinking they had no chance to overcome a 2-run deficit. Am I being too pessimistic?

50 thelarmis   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:10 pm

it's nice to see him smile : )

51 thelarmis   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:11 pm

that 1-1 pitch was high and outside. drew had to swing at that last pitch.

bugger.

52 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:15 pm

Nice throw.

53 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:26 pm

Defense. What a concept.

54 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:27 pm

Good thing Ellsbury wasn't running. Wouldn't want to avoid the double play.

55 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:34 pm

Oh, this is always fun.

56 coleman42   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:39 pm

Another dropped throw by Didi

57 Mattpat11   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:40 pm

That's a swing.

58 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:40 pm

I missed TWO A-Rod taters??! :(

59 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:48 pm

They'll figure out this pinch runner thing one of these years. I just know it.

60 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:51 pm

Alex reminds me of Jorgie, with all that schmutz on his helmet.

61 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:53 pm

Alex!!

62 Alex Belth   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:54 pm

Dude, the man is so locked in. Even the pitches he lays off are impressive. He got 2 good swings on fastballs in that at bat, fouled them back, and you figure he won't get another one and then he squares up the slider and nails it.

63 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:54 pm

Bad Ass at bats.

64 coleman42   ~  Apr 17, 2015 8:58 pm

The "old Alex?"

65 Alex Belth   ~  Apr 17, 2015 9:18 pm

I wouldn't blame anyone for being suspicious of Alex but I didn't expect him to come back and compete like this after missing a year and having all those health problems.

66 coleman42   ~  Apr 17, 2015 9:23 pm

GOOD night!

67 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Apr 17, 2015 9:23 pm

[85] No one did.

Yay!

Thank you, Alex!

68 Ara Just Fair   ~  Apr 17, 2015 9:24 pm

Good win. Cheers, y'all.

69 RIYank   ~  Apr 17, 2015 9:24 pm

Hey, that one was FUN!

Haven't had many of those.

70 rbj   ~  Apr 17, 2015 9:29 pm

Sorry I missed the A-Rod fireworks. Hens had their own, with 3 triples, including two in one inning.

Usually for opening weekend I've got long johns and flannel lined pants with my winter coat. Didn't even need my medium coat tonight.

71 RIYank   ~  Apr 17, 2015 9:31 pm

So, I still enjoy the "FU I can still rock it" performance from A-Rod, and the way it's going to piss so many people off. Maybe not as much as if he hadn't been such a dickhead, but I still get a kick out of it.
Am I alone?

72 thelarmis   ~  Apr 17, 2015 10:20 pm

You are not alone!

Gonna have to watch his 8th inning at-bat later.

Let's take this series!

73 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 18, 2015 1:24 am

[71] Like MJ sang, 'You Are Not Alone!' But stay off Twitter..the anti-Arod nonsense is torrential. Jeff Pearlman, the sportswriter, blocked me after I called him a McCarthyite for saying ARod was likely still juicing. :)

74 Alex Belth   ~  Apr 18, 2015 7:21 am

73) Good for you! You rabble rouser. 71) Not alone. I'm enjoying it.

75 Boatzilla   ~  Apr 18, 2015 7:45 am

[73] [74] Oh, you don't know the half of it Alex, you should see Jazz in action.

So like if Pearlman had few weeks of mediocre Tweets or features and then wrote a brilliant one we should suspect him of using mind altering drugs? What a schmuck.
