Man! Nice long fly ball! The perfect spot.

Wow, Carlos heating up

6 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 6:32 pm

Out by a million miles.

7 rbj   ~  Jun 22, 2015 6:33 pm

You aren't that young anymore Carlos

8 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 6:36 pm

Nice catch, Brett.

Wait, what?

Francoeur had to pitch for two innings because the bullpen phone was broken?

What?

That makes absolutely no sense. They couldn't send a carrier pigeon to the bullpen to have someone get someone up?

Watching Pineda struggle makes me sad.

11 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 7:03 pm

God, I swear to God I thought he was going to throw that ball.

I panicked and screamed, "NO!!!"

Pfew.

12 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 7:07 pm

[10] Yes.

13 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 7:08 pm

I guess it could have been worse.

14 Ara Just Fair   ~  Jun 22, 2015 7:13 pm

Atta boy, Brett!

15 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Jun 22, 2015 7:24 pm

Two off pitching performances in a row. A trend?

16 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 7:28 pm

Man. Bases loaded no outs again.

17 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 7:30 pm

Oh, fuck.

This is fugly.

18 rbj   ~  Jun 22, 2015 7:36 pm

Blech

O'Neill: "Sometimes baseball just doesn't make sense" by way of saying, of course, YJCPB.

[19] Hi weeping, you will appreciate this as I believe you have some young 'uns. My boy has embraced baseball (finally!) and is absolutely in love with John Sterling. He'll mimic 'Stephen Drew! How do you do!' then laugh hysterically.

Brett carrying this team on his back. Or doing his best to.

Damn!

22 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 7:53 pm

[20] Hahahahahah! That's adorable. Whatever it takes, right?

Congrats on the success, Papa, well done!

23 rbj   ~  Jun 22, 2015 7:56 pm

Creeping back. One run here, two more there . . .

24 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 22, 2015 8:04 pm

[22] It's been so much fun, but weird to finally do this with him and there's no Mo or Derek.. :(

He does love A-Rod, Pineda and McCann though, and learned quickly we must never ever root for the BoSox. Will take him to his first game here in two weeks.

25 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 8:12 pm

Good for Carlos.

Now let's cash these puppies in!

26 rbj   ~  Jun 22, 2015 8:12 pm

[24] good on the BoSox thing.

Carlos!

27 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 8:14 pm

[24] Yes, that is both weird and sad. I mean, I don't know who this team is.

The first players I was aware of were Bucky Dent and Reggie Jackson (I was born in '73). The first baseball I can remember was the 1981 Series. I also remember Fernando Valenzuela.

I wonder what sort of impression these Yankees make on a new fan. Who stands out?

28 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 8:15 pm

[24] Ok, just saw the second half, which answers my question!

29 rbj   ~  Jun 22, 2015 8:16 pm

Dammit!

30 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 8:16 pm

[26] And you, enough the loafing, already. Isn't it time for you to be getting your ass off the DL?

31 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Jun 22, 2015 8:17 pm

[26] Rule #1!

[28] Pretty much the same for me (born in '74). My dad took me to see Reggie in 1979 for my first game, I remember Fernando-mania, astro-turf parks, mustaches and a foul-smelling Yankee Stadium very fondly.

32 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 8:22 pm

Sigh

All right, that's it.

33 rbj   ~  Jun 22, 2015 8:22 pm

[30] I have a delicate nature.

Aw fuck!

34 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 8:25 pm

[33] Your team needs you!

35 rbj   ~  Jun 22, 2015 8:35 pm

[34] I also need to get back into the dojo. Maybe Wednesday.

36 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 8:38 pm

Damn. That was a good pitch to hit.

37 weeping for brunnhilde   ~  Jun 22, 2015 8:39 pm

[35] Get on it.

38 rbj   ~  Jun 22, 2015 8:56 pm

One back

39 rbj   ~  Jun 22, 2015 9:00 pm

Tapping out, night all.

40 coleman42   ~  Jun 22, 2015 9:10 pm

Will Chasen Chase Chase?

41 coleman42   ~  Jun 22, 2015 9:12 pm

YES! Thank heaven for small favors.

42 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 22, 2015 9:37 pm

The fuck happened with Big Mike? Man, what a horseshit pitching performance by the Yanks.

43 coleman42   ~  Jun 22, 2015 9:39 pm

[42] He had nuthin'

44 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 22, 2015 9:40 pm

I like the fight in these guys.

45 coleman42   ~  Jun 22, 2015 9:40 pm

Garrett baby!

46 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 22, 2015 9:41 pm

I know we all know this but holy cow is Didi a horrible hitter. Can you recall a worse situational hitter? Goddamn, son.

47 thelarmis   ~  Jun 22, 2015 9:42 pm

haha, fuck you, Papelbitch!

48 Alex Belth   ~  Jun 22, 2015 9:43 pm

That is one crappy loss, Big Mike. The hitters did a great job. The rest of youse no so much.
