Wouldn't now be a good time for Tanaka to get his arm operated on?

The Yanks are unlikely to be a playoff team next year unless they trade away all the prospects or veterans. (Stranger things have happened)

I don't see that happening as they still want to get under the cap to reset it.

Don't leave your pitches hanging, Chad.

Oh, too late.

3 Chyll Will   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:11 pm

[2] Waaaaay too late >;)

4 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:14 pm

This isn't starting well.

5 seamus   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:14 pm

Yeah bad way to start eh? 3 straight hits. ouch.

6 seamus   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:20 pm

This is ugly. Someone is going to have to bail the kid out.

7 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:22 pm

Yay, an out!

8 seamus   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:23 pm

Oh, since there is more to be excited about in the minors I download the milb app today. At least track how these kids are doing. To me, the team last year was boring to watch and I never felt like they would do much of anything. This year, I liked the construction better but thought they were only marginally better - which they weren't. So, to me, this wholesale dump makes me more excited to follow the team again with an eye to the future. God knows i've sat through worse Pirates games.

Phew! Mets offense as bad as the Yankees

10 seamus   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:28 pm

Good hitting there from Refsnyder. Going the other way through the whole between first and second. This lineup is whack btw.

11 seamus   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:29 pm

And by whack, I mean our #3 hitter is hitting .195.

12 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:32 pm

Tied up! Mark scored from first, will wonders never cease?

13 seamus   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:32 pm

holy cow! We scored two runs! With only one out. Headley rocked it into LC gap. Here comes Castro.

14 seamus   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:32 pm

[12] OMG watching Mark run on that replay is painful though.

15 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:34 pm

Untied, thanks Didi

16 seamus   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:35 pm

Didi! I love this kid.

17 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:35 pm

Nice job, Didi.
I'll enjoy watching him in 2018.

18 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:36 pm

BTW, US Olympic women's soccer team is playing now. The game is almost over, actually.

19 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:41 pm

I will not be watching Chad Green in 2018.

20 seamus   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:41 pm

[18] Got to see them demolish I think Costa Rica on their victory tour a year ago. Good stuff.

21 seamus   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:42 pm

[19] Chad Green will be watching you.

22 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:44 pm

Retied, I see. Jeez, you go and fix a drink . . .

23 seamus   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:49 pm

phew, nice play Headley. Thought that was through.

24 seamus   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:49 pm

Clint Frazier and Aaron Judge just hit back to back singles. A glimpse into the future?

25 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:49 pm

[22] See, you have a drinking problem.

[20] I watched that on tv. It was in Philadelphia, wasn't it?

26 seamus   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:52 pm

[25] Pittsburgh. Might have been a different inferior opponent. My brain is blurring the details now.

27 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:54 pm

US beats NZ 2 - 0

28 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:54 pm

[25] I have no problem drinking

29 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:57 pm

We were both wrong -- the Costa Rica friendly was in Kansas City.

This NZ game was a bit dull. Enormous possession time advantage for our ladies.

I like several of the youngsters--this team is just going to get better and better.
Like the Yankees!

30 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:59 pm

Mark goes yard! A two out rally to boot.

31 Ara Just Fair   ~  Aug 3, 2016 6:59 pm

Howdy, all. Nice 3 run job, Teix.

32 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 7:01 pm

Every time Teix homers I wonder if it's going to be his last.
Morose, isn't it?

33 Ara Just Fair   ~  Aug 3, 2016 7:10 pm

That pop up drop was seven years ago! Holy shit!

34 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 7:48 pm

Oh, getting chirpy

35 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 7:57 pm

Luis is pitching well.

36 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:10 pm

Chase Headley will not be contributing to my viewing pleasure in 2018.

37 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:13 pm

Phew, that could have been really bad

38 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:21 pm

I will be a big fan of Gary Sanchez' in 2018.

39 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:22 pm

Aw missed Sanchez first big league hit. Had to let a dog in

40 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:22 pm

See, you have a dog problem.

41 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:23 pm

What the hell was I thinking on that?

42 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:25 pm

Yay, a Sanchez run! And a Refsnyder rbi.

43 Ara Just Fair   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:26 pm

The behind the plate seats are as filled up as I've seen in awhile.

44 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:26 pm

[41] Distracted by the dogs?

45 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:26 pm

[40] I can quit dogs any time I want. I just don't want to.

46 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:28 pm

[43] Lotta Triboro Bridge tolls paid by those occupants, I bet.

47 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:34 pm

Oh come on Metsies. Too stupid to remember what you said?

48 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:34 pm

Too much talk! A little more action, please.

49 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:35 pm

Bullshit, Mets.

50 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:36 pm

What the hell?
There should be some rule against this.

51 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:36 pm

I want a Starlin Grand Slam for that

52 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:36 pm

Hah! Yes!
Serves you right, dummy.

53 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:37 pm

I'll take that. Do not anger the baseball gods

54 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:39 pm

I have no idea whether Teix was stealing signs. Doubt it. But I know good pitchers don't worry about it. Too much else to think about.

55 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:41 pm

Met meltdown.

56 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:42 pm

I'm sure Edgin wouldn't have walked Didi if Teixeira hadn't stolen the signs.

57 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:44 pm

I want double digits

58 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:45 pm

Oh well

59 Ara Just Fair   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:50 pm

I just hope Cone stays around a long time. He kills me.

60 RIYank   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:51 pm

Impressive outing for Severino.

61 Ara Just Fair   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:53 pm

Word to Luis.

62 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 8:57 pm

Luis makes the next start with Chad in the pen.

63 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 9:10 pm

Hence why the Yankees parted ways with Clippard

64 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 9:10 pm

Two down.

65 rbj   ~  Aug 3, 2016 9:11 pm

Three down. Night all.

66 Ara Just Fair   ~  Aug 3, 2016 9:12 pm

Cheers, y'all.

67 seamus   ~  Aug 3, 2016 9:22 pm
