"A New York Treasure" --Village Voice

Air BnB

The Yankees played two seasons at Shea Stadium in the mid-’70s. For the next 3 days, they will play against the Tampa Bay Rays at Citfield but they will be the visitors. Certainly a strange turn of events but sensible considering everything that has happened in Florida with Irma.

Never mind the Shake Shacks:

Bootsie! That sums up me at 3rd base for my softball team.

5 rbj   ~  Sep 11, 2017 7:21 pm

10 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 11, 2017 7:34 pm

Way to hang him out to dry, Cash. Asshole.

11 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 11, 2017 7:44 pm

Al Leiter is cracking me up.

[10] What did Cashman do?

13 rbj   ~  Sep 11, 2017 7:52 pm

Nice recovery, CC

14 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 11, 2017 7:54 pm

Nice job from CC to get out of that innning.

15 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 11, 2017 7:59 pm

[12] Rays manager Cash. He let his pitcher throw over 50 pitches in the top of the 4th. Painful.

16 rbj   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:01 pm

The one unbreakable record is Cy Young's 750 complete games. Only two other pitchers have that many starts.

17 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:04 pm

[15] Ah, got it!
[16] Old timey baseball.

18 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:07 pm

[15] I agree. That was egregious.

19 rbj   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:10 pm

Quick hook again

20 thelarmis   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:11 pm

Really gonna deprive CC of a W here? Huh.

21 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:11 pm

Get someone up.

Now.

22 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:11 pm

Oh, or you could take him out here, that'll do.

23 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:11 pm

[20] It's Hammertime, Nostra!

24 thelarmis   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:13 pm

Well, I thought there was only a guy on first. Damn cold medicine...

25 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:14 pm

Wow, D-Rob doing the A-Mill old school fireman thing. I like it!

26 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:16 pm

This isn't May, team wins are MUCH more important at this point than another win for CC.

We've got 20 games left.

27 thelarmis   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:16 pm

Hammered! Nailed.

28 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:17 pm

And...holy land of cleve! They're up 8-zip.

33 thelarmis   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:35 pm

I bet Pete Rose is pissed that Ellsbury now has the CI record.

34 thelarmis   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:36 pm

Doesn't jake also have the single season record?

35 thelarmis   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:38 pm

Yup, 12 last season.

Ells set the record in 10,500 fewer ABs.

36 rbj   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:41 pm

They have to put me in the HOF now, with those records

37 thelarmis   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:54 pm

Bammered!

38 thelarmis   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:54 pm

39 thelarmis   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:56 pm

Bama'ed!

40 rbj   ~  Sep 11, 2017 8:57 pm

Nice AB from Taco.

47 rbj   ~  Sep 11, 2017 9:14 pm

11-0 Indians, 8th inning. 19 straight

48 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 11, 2017 9:19 pm

Uh oh, has Betances "lost it" again?

49 rbj   ~  Sep 11, 2017 9:21 pm

Who was it who paired with Jeff Nelson to bridge between the starter and Mo? Good times, good times

50 thelarmis   ~  Sep 11, 2017 9:23 pm

500 Ks for Dellin, in 309 innings. That seems good.

51 thelarmis   ~  Sep 11, 2017 9:23 pm

Mike Stanton?

52 rbj   ~  Sep 11, 2017 9:24 pm

Uh oh, guy ahomer shy of the cycle. Not good here

53 rbj   ~  Sep 11, 2017 9:24 pm

Phew, yes, Stanton.

54 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Sep 11, 2017 9:24 pm

[51] Nice! I was thinking Graham Lloyd, the tall Australian lefty who went after Armando Benitex in the huge brwal against the O's.

55 thelarmis   ~  Sep 11, 2017 9:24 pm

Dude came kinda close to a cycle, and turning this into a 1-run game. I would not have felt very comfy with chapman in that situation.

56 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 11, 2017 9:25 pm

Phew.

57 rbj   ~  Sep 11, 2017 9:37 pm

One down

58 GaryfromChevyChase   ~  Sep 11, 2017 9:38 pm

61 rbj   ~  Sep 11, 2017 9:41 pm

Brett, three down! Night all

62 Ara Just Fair   ~  Sep 11, 2017 9:41 pm

Either Frazier is a really good 3rd baseman or Headley made me forget that the throws are supposed to be on target. Cheers, y'all.

63 cult of basebaal   ~  Sep 11, 2017 9:43 pm

Good job ... on to tomorrow!

20 games to go!
