Again, not easy. Again, Dellin Betances looks gassed. The offense didn’t do much at all outside of Carlos Beltran’s 3-run home run but it was enough.

Decent start by Big Mike.

Another step closer to the playoffs.

Final Score: Yanks 3, Jays 2.

Dang, only 10 regular season games left, then a craps shoot game. To be followed by . . . ?

. . . an eventual ALCS championship over the Jays and an improbable Whirled Serious run to number 28? It's Friday. A guy can dream, right?

It's a crap shoot, but we could load the dice by (a) playing in the Bronx, and (b) starting Tanaka.

Does anyone know why the Yanks aren't wearing black armbands on their sleeves? I thought they'd have both the number and the armband.

[4] I was wondering the same thing.

Probably couldn't get them shipped in on time because of that whole Pope thing going on in Midtown. Just a guess; can't imagine why they couldn't have had a bunch of interns make some out of black socks and paint on them for the time being.
