$4 million/year for a one batter specialist? Didn't they learn their lesson from the Marte experience?

Why is my link-free, vulgarity-free comment waiting moderation?

3 monkeypants   ~  Dec 17, 2010 10:44 am

[1] Aha, it finally made it through.

Yeah, it has nothing to do with cursing. I can't figure it out. And am at my wit's end. And I am so sorry to all of you regulars who have been disrupted by this. I don't blame you for being pissed. But I'm also getting 5-10 new spam users registering each day. It's been a nightmare. Please hang in there.

Thanks.

[4] Of course they didn't.

My eyeball hurts.

6 Mattpat11   ~  Dec 17, 2010 10:56 am

[5] That should be [1]

And for whatever its worth, mlb trade rumors says 2 years, nine million with a third year option.

Marte isn't due back until August and chances are he'll be gone after the season.

[5] Alex, don't sweat it. I was just trying to figure out what triggered the spam filter so that I could trick it in the future. I wonder if it was the dollar sign?

I know that, in the past, comments with multiple links would get trapped.

[1] Maybe, they signed him to a 2 year deal instead of 3 :)

11 monkeypants   ~  Dec 17, 2010 11:24 am

[9] Yes, precisely. And how much did he cost?

12 Mattpat11   ~  Dec 17, 2010 11:32 am

[8] I don't even want to think of Marte coming back this year. I can't imagine this team with three lefty relievers.

13 monkeypants   ~  Dec 17, 2010 11:50 am

[12] One for each catcher?

14 Mattpat11   ~  Dec 17, 2010 11:53 am

[13] More likely, one for the fifth, sixth and seventh innings.

15 Raf   ~  Dec 17, 2010 12:12 pm

[11] $4M.

[12] It may be 4, if Fish sticks around.

16 calyankee   ~  Dec 17, 2010 3:26 pm

Fish won't stick.

17 Raf   ~  Dec 17, 2010 3:49 pm

[16] Yeah, but at least I got to write "fishsticks" :)
