A Way Out West

From the little I’ve seen on TV, no ball park in America has grander sunsets than Coors Field.

It’s our man Hiroki…

Ichiro Suzuki CF
Jayson Nix SS
Robinson Cano 2B
Vernon Wells LF
Ben Francisco RF
Lyle Overbay 1B
Chris Nelson 3B
Chris Stewart C
Hiroki Kuroda P

Never mind the view: Let’s Go Yank-ees!

Via hardballtalk.nbcsports.com there's a cool new site from the HoF:
http://scouts.baseballhall.org/

All scouting reports are now online.

I've seen a couple of games at Coors Field. I loved it.

[2] Good beer selection there by all accounts.

Interesting happenings in the Mets game now..

Oh goody, pitchers hitting. Base to base if you get on.

5 rbj   ~  May 7, 2013 8:15 pm

I will cheer that out.

It's Robbie Cano and the Houston Astros.

Just tuning in. Knicks rolling to what looks like a 20 point win.

Flash and Lorenz? How's Kuroda doing?

Kurosawa looks good. That was his toughest inning.

I'm going go out on a limb and guess there's a delay coming in the next few minutes ...

[9]Thanks.
"You fill up my senses...like a walk in the rain".

Not my favorite venue for the Yankees. They play that sinister music when Roks closer is in.

[11] John Denver?? Well, me and the Jazz Kids dig his Muppets Christmas album and TV Special..

Just noticed that my iPad decided that film is more interesting than baseball. [9]

[12] Yeah not proud to cite that. I prolly know a lot of John Denver songs as it was impossible to avoid in the '70s. It's the only lyric I think of that combined rocky mountain (Denver) with a rain storm.

Not liking one of the elder star pitchers batting on a slippery field. I know he played a long time in the NL but still.

[13] Don't be rash, o man! I just got that...

Ya know, if we dreamed in January that this would be the Yankee line-up; there would have been no sleep for the banterers.

For the infield, it's like Robinson is Chuck Berry finding local bands to play with on the tour stops.

[16] This Yankee lineup tonight stinks like a Stray Dog. Makes we want to Ran away..

Shite! That dude was taking some hellacious hacks before that homer. Dag.

Wheels falling off.

22 RIYank   ~  May 7, 2013 9:35 pm

Missed that inning not good, huh?

23 kenboyer made me cry   ~  May 7, 2013 9:41 pm

[22] All with two outs, then a passed ball. Lucky to give up only two as the inning ended with men on 2nd and 3rd.

24 RIYank   ~  May 7, 2013 9:45 pm

Impressive, Lyle.
Lyle vs beslisle.

There's that sinister closer music!
Shut out in Denver baby (apologies to Bob Seger). We'll chalk it up to the travel and the altitude. Must.Win.Tomorrow.
At least the Sox have been fallible the last few games.
