Tommy Lasorda isn't covering him with glory these days. First he admits to a 30 year friendship with Donald Sterling and isn't surprised by the comments, and then he goes all in:
"Lasorda also shared an unsolicited opinion on Sterling’s silly rabbit, V. Stiviano.
“And I don’t wish that girl any bad luck but I hope she gets hit with a car,” he said."
I'm watching the Red Sox. AJ just fell down running from first to second -- the second baseman bobbled the play and AJ probably would have been safe, but was out FC.
Fun game so far. I mean, even before AJ fell down.
[1] I really, really hope when I am in my 80s (if I make it till then!) that Mrs. Jazz takes away all my social media connections and never lets me speak outside the home..nothing good can come of it.
[9] For a fat-fatty-fatty he is really agile. David Wellsian, I'd say.
Just to add a note if anyone is interested. I was down south and watched the Tampa Yankees play in Dunedin the other day. Hard to tell anything on one look but Jagielo the kid from ND will be playing third for the Yanks sooner rather than later. Quick lefty bat and moves well in the field. Perfect for the Stadium. The centerfielder Jake Cave was impressive but seems further away.

Fletch: I hate Tommy Lasorda

[1] wow, what a shit. i'm now more than glad for all those years of lasorda hate in my teens.
Huh. I never hated Lasorda. But I'm certainly willing to start now.
[4] I couldn't stand him. Goes back to the 1981 world series at least.

(Speaking of players we enjoy loathing.)
BTW there's a link to the video at the link (just driving traffic to hardballtalk).
Watching the Tiggers, Miggy is hettin' up.
Mike Napoli is now a very good first baseman. I am quite surprised.
Jake Peavy leaves the game in the seventh, tied, nobody out and the bases loaded with Reds. (Speaking of Schadenfreude.)

[11] David Wells ... Pah!
STRONG BELWAS!!!
[13] haha, nice game of thrones throw in.
[14] I'll raise a pedant's note; technically, it's a SoIaF nod, since GoT has decided TO TOTALLY IGNORE STRONG BELWAS!!!
BRING ME LIVER AND ONIONS!!!
Dustin Pedroia saw six pitches in his last two ABs, all six strikes.
[13] Never watched it! Hear good things but not sure about the time investment..
[16] My Little Good-Eye?
[17] Not as good as the books, but well worth the time.
[17] My little whiffy, actually. (By "he saw" I didn't mean "he watched".)
The Reds' bullpen is abominable.

Uh, WTF was Cowgill thinking?!?!@?!?
That's the CF's ball ALL THE WAY.
Oh well, I'll take it!
That's some sorry shit from Sori right there.
Sad, sorry shit.
Much better from Port Jervis.
You could tell he was gonna throw that away as soon as he picked it up
I'm enjoying this
[26] Against the Angels? I'd enjoy 50-0 ...
[27] That would mean 200 close-ups of an agitated Scioscia..
Captain!
He ain't dead yet!!!
yay jetes!
THROW. STRIKES. ASSHAT.
bases loaded, no outs.
how about scoring this time around, huh?!
2-run single for JR!
Yo thelarmis, what's happening? Was listening to Roy Ayers this morning with Idris Muhammad on drums. MONSTER groove-a-thon.
damn. ever so close to double digits...
[34] nice! my eyes are closing...
too many things happening over here at once. all good, but thoroughly exhausting...
[36] Early for you, but good, get some rest! Easy W tonight, hope they can keep it going.
grant green, who plays the infield, has walk-up music by the outfield. if he were cool, he'd play grant green blue note era!
[37] yeah, i can't go to sleep for awhile. too much to do. but i really need some rest...
yay!
i really love how many yankee fans are out there cheering for us! : )
[38] The Outfield????!!

"i don't wanna lose your love to-niiieeeght"
[42] Does the PA guy in Anaheim not have any Loverboy?
[43] he's waiting for the weekend. you know, when everybody's workin'...
