At work, so no game for me today.

Ugh I turned the game on and Greene promptly loaded the bases. May need to just shut it off.

[6] the Randolph interview was great. He was always one of my favs.

9 thelarmis   ~  Sep 24, 2014 2:23 pm

[8] ooh, i didn't see it! gotta find that.

i met him outside the stadium when i was a little boy. he was awesome. i treasured his autograph but it somehow got lost in the move from queens to long island.

wish he was still managing or coaching. kinda weird how he was sorta dismissed from baseball. he looks happy and i hope all is well with him.

12 thelarmis   ~  Sep 24, 2014 2:45 pm

[4] you're missing Eury Perez's debut in the field!!!

13 thelarmis   ~  Sep 24, 2014 2:48 pm

20 years from now, when Captain Perez is playing his last game at The Stadium III, I can boast about being the only banterite here to watch his debut with the team.

14 thelarmis   ~  Sep 24, 2014 2:50 pm

IBB to Markakis to load the bases.

Between this and Eury, I expect RI to show up.

15 thelarmis   ~  Sep 24, 2014 2:53 pm

Hughes in line to win his 16th game of the year, to go along with a 3.52 ERA, 1.13 WHIP, and upwards of 200 K's.

16 thelarmis   ~  Sep 24, 2014 2:55 pm

Eury - our 58th player used (this season, RI, not in one game, sorry) - with a nice throw, but the sac fly scored a run and advanced a runner.

guy i don't like gets a hit.

8-3. season over. captain will play 3 more games mathematically eliminated - 4 in 20 years.

17 thelarmis   ~  Sep 24, 2014 3:04 pm

oh, and hughes is over 200 innings...

18 thelarmis   ~  Sep 24, 2014 3:04 pm

[10] i've always been a huge fan of WIllie's. Glad you got to meet him. And great job taking over the thread! I was watching but also working so wasn't able to post much.

Thanks for the running commentary, thelarmis! I was a huge Willie fan too, shame he got the Mets job years back.
