Just gots to grit and grind until you pepper out a win, eh, fellas? Ya bunch of scrubs, c’mon now. We’re still here for you but let’s go.

At it again tonight at the Stadium. Little cooler than last night, but it was another beautiful spring day in New York.

Never mind the awful truth:

Let’s GO Yank-ees!

Good start. Now for god's sake, NO PLAYS.

3 RIYank   ~  Apr 20, 2016 6:20 pm

Okay!
Although, now Ellsbury might has well have got a single, so that's a disappointment.

:-)

We want big boom, Carlos

5 RIYank   ~  Apr 20, 2016 6:23 pm

Carlos is definitely faster this year than last year.

6 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 6:23 pm

Not a big boom

7 RIYank   ~  Apr 20, 2016 6:25 pm

Grrrrrr.
Are we going to waste two-on-nobody-out??

8 RIYank   ~  Apr 20, 2016 6:30 pm

Goddam it.
I might just turn this game off.

9 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 6:30 pm

Just tuned in to see Arod's bases loaded strikeout. Drop the anchor.

12 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Apr 20, 2016 6:38 pm

Eo is entertaining. Hope he can win 1-0.

13 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 6:41 pm

Coulda used that last inning

14 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 6:44 pm

Ah, catchers interference

15 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Apr 20, 2016 6:46 pm

DiDi ram one.

16 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:08 pm

Le sigh. See, Yankees, that's what you do when it's RISP

17 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:13 pm

Grrrrrrrrrr

18 kenboyer made me cry   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:15 pm

Head hurting.

19 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:20 pm

Oh Jeebus. I'm going to go hit my head with a hammer, it's less painful

20 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:21 pm

Unfuckingbelievable.

21 coleman42   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:23 pm

Boy, those A's are really lucky.

22 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:24 pm

Double play!

23 seamus   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:24 pm

nice tag right on the forearm.

24 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:28 pm

What happened? Dinks & Dumpers against Eovaldi? He seems to prove that great stuff doesn't always = great pitcher..

25 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:29 pm

Nice hit, Alex.

Oh, A's lose the DH.

26 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:30 pm

Rats

27 seamus   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:30 pm

[25] I have things on mute. Why did they lose the DH?

28 coleman42   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:38 pm

DH injured sliding into home. These guys so fragile.

29 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:40 pm

[27] Injured player, Lowrie the DH had to come in and play second.

30 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:41 pm

Just throw fadtballs

31 coleman42   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:42 pm

Disregard my explanation. It's more complicated, which is why no one else tried to answer you.

32 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:42 pm

Or fastballs

33 seamus   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:42 pm

[28] [29] ah thanks.

34 coleman42   ~  Apr 20, 2016 7:54 pm

[33] you're welcome (I think?').

35 coleman42   ~  Apr 20, 2016 8:14 pm

Just read on gamecast that Hicks DP throw to home registered at 105.5mph, fastest throw ever recorded per statcast.

36 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 8:19 pm

[35] Damn. BTW, we are losing to a team without a DH.

37 coleman42   ~  Apr 20, 2016 8:22 pm

[36] True. It is indeed a sad state of affairs. BTW who is Braveman anyway. My attitude is "Wait til next week!"

38 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 8:31 pm

You gotta challenge. Offense is so pathetic

39 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 8:35 pm

Baseball gods against the Yankees tonight. Punishment for abysmal hitting in RISP.

40 coleman42   ~  Apr 20, 2016 8:37 pm

Can't catch a break

41 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 8:53 pm

Oh boy, a solo homer in the 8th

42 rbj   ~  Apr 20, 2016 8:58 pm

Nova for garbage time? I guess it's work, but still

43 coleman42   ~  Apr 20, 2016 9:06 pm

Sad

44 MSM35   ~  Apr 20, 2016 9:21 pm

I think management is really in a bind. They owe so much money to these older position players who are a mess. I sure they are very worried.

45 Mr OK Jazz Tokyo   ~  Apr 20, 2016 9:38 pm

[44] As long as their income is not based on attendance, I doubt they give a crap...who knew I'd ever miss Big Stein? A bully and megalomaniac but he put winning above all else..

46 MSM35   ~  Apr 20, 2016 9:49 pm

Short term thinking got them in this mess. Only when he got suspended did they prosper. They have a mortgage on $900,000,000 for the Stadium. Attendance matters. The perceived need to fill the park led them to give up high draft choices to sign aging free agents. The bill comes due eventually. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Go Yanks.
